A HOST of famous faces have appeared in supporting parts in Taggart before going on to bigger things.
Ugly Betty's ASHLEY JENSEN played a journalist in A Taste Of Money in 2005, while Goldeneye actor ALAN CUMMING was a chemist in 1986's Death Call.
Lord Of The Rings hero BILLY BOYD was in 1996's Dead Man's Chest - years after appearing as an extra while still at drama school. Mission: Impossible II star DOUGRAY SCOTT played a zoo keeper in Nest Of Vipers in 1992.
Two years earlier, pop star FISH played a thief in Skin Deep and Trainspotting's ROBERT CARLYLE was a politician in Hostile Witness.
Other big names include Mummy star JOHN HANNAH (Eagle Eye, 1990), Rebus's KEN STOTT (Murder In Season, 1985) and One Foot In The Grave stalwart ANNETTE CROSBIE (Funeral Rights, 1987).
