THE glittering MOBO Awards bash could be held in Scotland for the next FIVE YEARS if council and tourism bosses get their way.

Officials were thrilled with this week's star-studded bash, which boasted performances from top acts like N-Dubz, Kelly Rowland and Tinchy Stryder.

And now teams from EventScotland and Glasgow City Council are working on a deal that would bring the Music Of Black Origin honours show north of the border until 2014.

MOBO founder Kanya King, 39, told us: "We've had a fantastic response to the MOBO Awards in Glasgow. The whole city has supported us.

"It was a phenomenal night and definitely one of the best MOBOs ever. Scotland has been a great host and we'd love to come back at some point in the future."

And a MOBO insider confessed: "The organisers are in talks with the Glasgow events team.

"Everyone has their fingers crossed that the deal will be sealed as soon as possible."

Glasgow fought off competition from the bash's traditional home city of London as well as Manchester and Liverpool to land Wednesday night's spectacular show. It's said to have boosted the local economy by a whopping £3.5million

A string of stars jetted into Scotland for the awards - hosted by Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates and US singer Keri Hilson.

X Factor runners-up JLS thrilled 7,000 screaming fans at the SECC with No1 smash Beat Again.

And La Toya Jackson hosted a special tribute to brother Michael with Britain's Got Talent stars Shaheen Jafargholi and Diversity plus an emotional tribute from older brother Jermaine Jackson.

But it was at the no-expense spared after-show bash where the partying stars really let their hair down.

Big names at the plush Corinthian club included X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, DJ David Guetta, boxer Amir Khan, Skins' Luke Pasqualino and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.

Alexandra, 21, made the most of the free-flowing champagne - offering glasses of fizz to the BOUNCERS.

An insider revealed: "The bar was a party animal's paradise. There was a long table near the bar with row after row of free booze and the stars just couldn't resist. Alex was even offering champagne to the security staff."

A spokesman for organisers G1 added: "It was the wildest bash ever."
