The full Lomond-ty!

A CHEEKY football team used their BALLS to preserve their modesty for a saucy calendar.

Twelve lads from Lomond United Amateur Football Club in Ladybank, Fife, also posed behind refs cards as they ditched their kits for the shoot.

Staff at the Lomond Hills Hotel in Freuchie, Fife, where the steamy shots were taken, clamoured to get an eyeful of the boys on the CCTV cameras.

Team manager Alex Simpson, 37, said: "They had to turn the cameras off because the staff were trying to get a look at the guys with their kit off!"

The team, currently sitting 4th in the Fife Amateur League, hope to raise £6000 from the calendar to pay for a trip to Poland in the summer.

They are the only British squad to be invited to play in a tournament in Chelmno against seven professional Polish teams.

They got involved through Polish player Wotjek Jicki who trained with Lomond while he lived in Scotland until earlier this year.

He was with them for two seasons while in the country to pay for medical treatment for his sick brother.

The shots of the guys - who are aged between 19 and 42 - were taken around the hotel including in the sauna and jacuzzi.

Alex added: "I am sure they guys will get lots of ribbing from their mates but it will be worth it to play in the competition."

The trend for naked calendars started when a group of WI members in Yorkshire stripped for a cancer charity in 1999.

Their story went on to become a Hollywood film and stage play.
