The Scotland striker was said to be "over the moon" after Laura O'Donnell delivered the tot a month early.
And the grinning 29-year- old couldn't contain his joy - despite being on the bench for the St Mirren victory.
Last night a pal of the couple said: "Both Kenny and Laura are really thrilled. Kenny is just over the moon.
"The baby was delivered by Caesarian section on Friday night. All went well. He spent the whole of yesterday grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"He'll want to score soon to dedicate the goal to the baby."
It's not known if the couple have chosen a name yet. Kenny - who has a six-year-old son Coby from a previous relationship - will wed trainee teacher Laura, 20, of Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, next summer.
He's just bought a five-bedroom £750,000 eco-house in the Clyde Valley.
