BRAVE Celtic fan Paddy Doohan had his dying wish come true yesterday when he saw his heroes for one last time.

The devoted Hoops supporter was made the club's special guest - after being told he has only a few weeks left to live.

Paddy, 40, who has terminal throat cancer, met captain Stephen McManus and mid- fielder Scott Brown.

Then the VIP took his place in the Parkhead directors box for the SPL clash with Motherwell.

The dream day out was arranged by nurses at Glasgow's Marie Curie Hospice, which Paddy was admitted to last week.

Despite the match finiishing 0-0, he said: "I'm so happy. Celtic have played such an important part in my life, so I'm really grateful to see them play again."

Now Paddy, of Ruchill, Glasgow, is urging people to dig deep to raise £16million for a new hospice.

Last night Marie Curie manager Aileen Eland said: "It was wonderful of Celtic to arrange such a great day out for Paddy."
