Robbie Keane

A £65,000-grand old team to play for

ROBBIE KEANE HAS TO MAKE FANS' DREAMS COME TRUE

ROBBIE Keane says it was inevitable he would one day play for Celtic, the team of his boyhood dreams.

I can remember him saying something similar as he signed for Liverpool... before he went back home to Spurs.

Whatever these guys say in football speak is fine by me. But here's some plain talking from a mere woman...

I hope when Keano pulls on the jersey, he remembers the sea of faces standing in the icy chill outside Celtic Park who greeted him at midnight on Monday as if he was the messiah.

And he should bear in mind that the £65k-a- week wages he's picking up is more than many of these fans could earn in five years.

So I hope he makes their dreams come true.

No pressure, Keano.

The next team Keane signs for will be his "boyhood heroes" also...Kettering Town perhaps!! Waste of money and that's all he's interested in!!
