No way Stuart Leggate can atone for crime

THE sickening confession of twisted child-killer Stuart Leggate made my flesh creep.

And his graphic description of the final moments of his eight-year-old victim, Mark Cummings, will strike terror into the heart of every parent.

I hope this monster doesn't think that by backing Mark's mum, Margaret Ann, in her fight to give parents the right to know if a sex offender is living nearby, he is in any way making up for his horrendous crime.

There can be no redemption for a beast like him. But what he has done with his explicit account is give us a window into the mind of a truly evil pervert, who is unable to control his urges towards children.

He's shown that people like him are not just child molesters but that they have the capacity to murder. That is what chills us to the bone.

If ever there was a convincing case for compulsory chemical castration then it is this sex fiend's repugnant testament.
