The teenager's heartache would start in the classroom and continue after school as the torment followed her home through sick messages via Bebo.
The lowest blow came when her "best friend" secretly filmed Sammy on her mobile when she was almost bald, and texted the film around school cruelly branding it: "Baldilocks and the three hairs."
Today Sammy, now 16, bravely tells of her suffering at the hands of cyber-bullies: "Almost every day I'd open my Bebo page to another nasty message poking fun at my hair. My so-called friends would leave horrid messages on my profile wall.
"They also bullied me to my face - they would toss their hair and ask me if I liked their new haircut. Then they'd fall about laughing."
But thanks to her incredible strength - and help from local Alopecia Clinic in Denton, Manchester - Sammy has beaten the bullies and now her hair is beginning to grow back.
Sammy, who wears a wig made of real hair and wants to be a hairdresser, said: "I've closed my Bebo account. Some of the bullies have asked to be my friend on Facebook, but I've declined. I've moved on and finally found friends I can trust."

Yvonne, don't let that put you off from going to the police. Keep pressing them. They have to take some sort of action to stop what is happening-warnings to begin with. It's harassment. If you do not get anywhere with the police-talk it over with a solicitor-you do not necessarily have to have money-there is stuff you can do and good on you for going to the newspaper to highlight your daughters story. We are all behind you - Hope your daughter is okay-I know just how bad things can be. Adults? If you can get evidence all the better. I hope it stops-press on. "See-Sammy, through your story and courage-this has helped other people to be strong. This is all very positive. Brill! Thanks from me, because I do not like to hear of people being bullied and other people's stories and advice/support are a comfort to others.

Thanks to this brave girl my 9 yr old daughter has allowed me to go to my local paper with her story. The worse thing that the police couldnt take any action and wasnt even helpful. Lets hope more people come forward our children should be protected. I just hope the adults that upset my daughter wont do it again however as the police did nothing I dread to think they may do something else.

You look absolutely stunning Sammy! These are the people who haven't been taught to be sympathetic or empathetic to those who are distressed. You have made some lovely new friends who seem to support you and understand what you have been going through. Hold your head high. you do not need to prove anything to anyone. You are magnificent in every way!

Sammy - even though you lost your hair you still look beautiful. I have alopecia alopecia as well but my girlfriend prefers me with no hair than when I had it long. Keep cheerful and forget about these stupid bullies - they are only jealous.

Wow, those people have to become bald theirselves so WE can laugh at THEM.
I also have alopecia, but luckily no one has laughed at me because of it. Good that her hair is growing back now, so they cannot laugh at you anymore, you show them!
Can't imagine how strong you must be.
You have my support!

People that bully others usally only do it because their own life isn't so good, so they want others to feel the same. I always believe that what goes round comes round and, have seen it so many times, so those bullies will one day what they deserve. It's easier said than done, but always remember this. Sometimes you need to take a deep breath and forget all of the hurtful things. Hold your head high and prove you're better than the people that hurt you, because you are better than they are, you just have to believe you are. Good Luck. Lol xx

What makes human beings behave like this, cashing in on another's heartbreak to gain amusement and pleasure for themselves. From reading the above Sammy I can see that you already know that you are a much better person and I am so glad this experience has not made you lose faith in humankind and that you have moved on to find new friends you can trust. Good luck for the future.

Hiya girl
here an alopecia woman to.
Someone post this article on Alopeciaworld.
Im sorry to hear that even your "best friend"betrayed you, sorry you had to find out that this person was not worth your energy.
Keep your head up, you are pretty, no matter what those ugly inside ppl say to you and like Jenjen says, the bitchy girls at school will always end up to be the absolute no hopers in adulthood.
love from the Netherlands

I also suffer from alopica i am older then u and had the same things said to me but not from my friends but from my family. I am bigger then them, it did get to me but as time went on i was able to ignore what they were saying. You just keep hold of your dreams and dont let go you might have lost your hair but you havent lost your soul. Things will get better. I know that they will.

You look great, shave your head, skinhead girls look fantastic.

this girl is beautiful inside and out..all them bulles will feel so ashamed 1 day it will haunt them 4ever!
By emotionalremains.. Posted November 29 2009 at 8:22 AM.
I agree with Jenjen, you are a lovely girl-hold your head up high. Best wishes to you. You are the nicer person. This could happen to them one day, then they will regret their actions. Their behaviour is very immature. I am sure you will do well. No-one likes a bully. All the bullies I knew didn't do as well as I - thats a fact.
By Lisa Babe.. Posted November 29 2009 at 6:02 AM.
chin up babe ur better than these idiots, and no doubt prettier, gl 2 u xx
By kelly.. Posted November 29 2009 at 2:51 AM.
You have shown tremendous courage and dignity throughout your ordeal, and those who have shown nothing but ignorance and loathing toward you should hang their heads in shame!!!!
I agree whole heartedly with jenjen, no hopers amount to nothing in life once they realise that their so called 'popularity' will only carry them so far. I wish you all the best for now and in the future. xx
On a different note, why do young people keep these bullies on there friends list??? I don't understand that if others are tormenting and humiliating you everyday, why do you continue to keep these people in a position where they can get to you so easily?? I know after my son was bullied how hard it is to stay away from them during school hours and such, but you have the strong upper hand to click a button and keep them from invading your private space that should only be kept for REAL FRIENDS!!!! Make a stand and beat them at their own game. Only you have the power to delete them from this part of your life.

Ignore these horrible, spiteful and malicious people. You are a beautiful girl. These vile individuals lead pathetic and menial lives where, as they are so thick, the only way they can entertain themselves and make fun of other people. Hold your head up high and feel secure in the knowledge that you will lead a much happier life than these idiots. I always find it funny that the bitchy girls at school ALWAYS end up to be the absolute no hopers in adulthood.
Good luck to you xx
