Former cop's wife confesses astonishing affair
A COP'S ex-wife who is dating Lottery rapist Iorworth Hoare has confessed: "I LOVE him-and I hope to spend the rest of my life with him!"
Until now Karen Cameron has vehemently DENIED any romance with the filthy-rich monster whose horrifying catalogue of crimes includes ONE rape, TWO attempted rapes and THREE indecent assaults.
The divorced mum-of-two insisted she was just his part-time cleaner.
But our exclusive first pictures of the pair enjoying cosy days out together show just how close she has got to £7.2 million Lotto winner Hoare.
And as she considers MOVING IN to the serial sex fiend's home 48-year-old Karen defiantly declared: "He's a total gentleman. He loves me and I love him.
"I don't care that he was a rapist- and I am NOT with him for his money. He makes me laugh and smile in a way that I haven't done for years."
She revealed that vile Hoare:
- MAKES her breakfast in bed
- BUYS her flowers and chocolates
- LOVES cuddling up to watch telly
- ENJOYS trips out to buy antiques.
Smitten Karen is so blinkered she refuses to accept he is a monster, once jailed for life and told by the judge: "Every moment you are at liberty, some woman is at risk."
In astonishing words that will chill his victims and make most women's flesh creep, she insisted: "What Iorworth has done is in the past and I don't for a second feel scared by him. He makes me feel SAFE. He's caring and loving.
Strange
"I'm proud he's my boyfriend. I can understand why people may think it's strange. But they don't know him-and I do. What he did was a long time ago and I see the other side to him. He buys me flowers, long-stemmed red roses, and chocolates.
"He's romantic, cooks for me and opens doors for me. He makes me laugh. We're like any normal couple and cuddle up together watching TV of a night. And in the morning when I'm at his house he brings me breakfast in bed with a red rose on the side.
"I haven't been as happy as this for ages. I don't understand what all the fuss is about and why people find it so odd that I want to be with him.
"What he did is in the past. He's served his time for the crimes he did. What's the point of us having a prison system if you still persecute people when they get out?"
But critics galore insist 56-year-old Hoare should never have been allowed to win his fortune in the first place. He scooped the jackpot with a ticket bought while on weekend release from jail in 2004.
One of his six victims-a 78-year-old ex-teacher-now has the High Court's go-ahead to sue him for damages. But Karen said: "I don't think these women should be allowed to take his money. It happened a long time ago, he has been to prison, he is sorry for what he did, and he just wants to get on with his life.
"He's a normal loving man who has a past. I love him and he loves me. I hope I'm with him forever."
Karen has confided all this to her 21-year-old daughter Danielle, who was horrified when she first discovered who her mum was seeing.
Danielle told us: "I think rape is the most horrendous crime and I really couldn't believe my mum would choose to be with someone like him. I was really scared for her.
"Mum kept the relationship a secret for months. I was shocked when she told me, I couldn't take it in. My brother went mad, he wasn't happy at all. And my Nana-Mum's mother-was traumatised when she found out."
Secretary Karen started cleaning for Hoare-freed on licence and now calling himself Edward Thomas-last summer at his £750,000 Darras Hall mansion near Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to earn extra cash: £6.50 an hour several nights a week.
Daughter Danielle said: "She got the job through an agency. For months I had no idea anything was going on. They got together in December but Mum didn't tell us until March. When I voiced my fears she said he may have done horrid crimes in the past but he was rehabilitated."
Karen spends three nights a week at Hoare's luxury home, just a short drive from the terrace house she shares with 24-year-old son Shane.
While she's at work every day Hoare takes a £2.50 bus trip into the city centre. Although he's a trained chef he prefers to eat out in fancy restaurants. His favourites are Chinese buffets.
Danielle said: "He'll go food shopping in Asda or Marks & Spencer to bring back the ingredients for my mum to cook him a meal at home. If she's tired they'll get a curry. He loves his food. The other night she did pork casserole for him."
But the new couple don't eat out together in their own neighbourhood.
"They know they may get hassle," admitted Danielle. "They don't want to draw attention to themselves so they just hire a DVD and watch it at home.
"Mum loves EastEnders and Coronation Street and is obsessed with reality TV so she makes him sit and watch them too. She'll have a glass of white wine but he doesn't drink so just has water."
The pair are so terrified of being seen together they refuse to kiss or hold hands in public and drive hundreds of miles for days out.
"They don't want to get recognised," admitted Danielle. "He has got a lot of grief off people."
After three months' pleading by Karen, Danielle finally agreed to meet Hoare, who they both now call Edward. She said: "Mum took me to 'Edward's' house. It doesn't look much on the outside but is huge inside with five bedrooms.
"When I walked in I saw two huge pieces of art on the wall, kind of pictures that pop out. I only went into the kitchen which is massive, I've never seen one so big. It was all done out in pine. I was apprehensive about meeting him but he was really polite.
"I thought he had a funny accent and sounded like someone off Coronation Street. He was making fun of my mum, who's vegetarian, because she'd made him a curry but she was having broccoli with some sauce on.
"He said, 'That looks f***ing disgusting!' It made my mum laugh and to be honest I haven't seen her so happy in years. I don't know if she'll marry him but I wouldn't be surprised if she moved in.
"He has a huge sculpture in the garden and is obsessed with art and antiques. He spends hours watching Antiques Roadshow working out what to buy with his money.
"Both he and my mum love animals, I think that's one of the reasons they really bonded.
Begging
"They go to the local park with bread for the ducks and she loves the fact he has his own hedgehog in his garden. He's really attentive to it and gives it special food.
"When Mum was with my dad, who was a policeman, she had a miserable marriage. But she looks so much happier now.
I know 'Edward's' done wrong but he's been totally open with Mum about his past. They've sat and talked about things for hours.
"And she's seen all the begging letters from people asking for a share of his money and those telling him he shouldn't have it."
Aware of public feeling, the couple make sure they get well away from the area two days every week, travelling to Hexham, Durham or Carlisle for sightseeing, visits to animal parks and hunting for antiques.
Danielle says: "Sometimes they're still together in the car when she picks me up from work and they're very lovey-dovey. When he gets out they always kiss goodbye.
"And they're really sickening at home together, always cuddled up on the sofa snuggled into each other."
Hoare's cash is monitored by trustees who allow him £8,666 a month. He must ask if he wants to spend more. Last year he bought a Picasso sketch but was livid when the trustees refused to let him buy a desk owned by Charles Dickens.
Danielle said: "He still goes to the shop every week to get his Lottery ticket. He isn't flash with his money but he does like to make sure that Mum is looked after.
"A few weeks ago 'Edward' noticed that the tax disc on her car had run out so he gave her £200 and told her to get it sorted. It was enough to get it serviced too.
"And for her birthday he bought her a beautiful handbag. She's never asked him for money but he likes to spoil her.
"I think she'd be with him even if he wasn't a millionaire. She's not with him for the money, she's with him because he makes her happy."
And at least it keeps him away from the rest of Britain's innocent women. . .

Karen Cameron you have obviously never been raped if you had you would no that even speaking to this man is like a slap in the face to all hes victums. when he did those inhumine things to those poor women he waverod hes right to been treaten like a human being you should no this.
I am a victum of rape myself and can feel for the victums of your socalled boyfriend. And i definatly carnt see how somebody how is suposed to have a motherly instincted is able to have there family anywhere near.

I cannot believe it when Karen Cameron said 'I don't care if he's a rapist.' How would she feel if she or her daughter was raped? I doubt she'd be as supportive of him. Another thing it states that he raped 1 woman, attempted to rape 2 others and indencently assaulted 3 other women. Think about it that's just what we know of. Only Hoare knows the true number of women who's lives he's ruined.

Well she has 7.2 million reasons to be with him hasnt she! People who say they not there for the money usually are, or why mention it at all.
