Mum-to-be Kerry Katona snorted line...

FOUR months pregnant with a bump starting to show, Kerry Katona wasn't going to let a little thing like a baby spoil the party... and blissfully snorted a line of coke through a rolled-up £20 note.

Even her low-life mates had the good grace to look worried as the mum-to-be got wasted at a New Year's party.

But showing a sickening lack of concern for her unborn child's welfare, the woman twice voted Mother of the Year reassured them: "It's OK-you can wean the baby off the coke afterwards. It's only booze that can cause serious damage."

One of the ex-Atomic Kitten's friends has told the News of the World of Kerry's crazy drug-fuelled life in a bid to give her a Mother's Day wake-up call.

The friend said: "How terrible, to give birth to a beautiful baby which then has to be weaned off the drugs that have been pumped into its tiny body.

"I don't know how Kerry can do that to her child. It is disgusting."

The friend revealed how Kerry-bizarrely still paid to be the face of Iceland-ignores all the warnings on what's best for her baby and:

SMOKES 20 menthol cigarettes a day.

BINGES on burgers and free Iceland food when she's coming down from cocaine highs.

DRINKS a bottle of wine at a time.

SNORTS cocaine as year-old daughter Heidi sits nearby.

The friend said: "Kerry has been taking cocaine throughout this pregnancy. I know because I have seen her taking it. It is so sad but she is addicted and in denial.

"She is spending more than £100 a day on coke. Her friends have tried to tell her the harm she is doing to herself but she just won't listen."

Even more worrying is the effect her drug habit could have on the baby, a boy, due in May.

The friend said: "I just pray this baby is OK. At New Year Kerry held a party and by then she was showing she was pregnant, but still she was openly doing cocaine. She offered it to her friends, saying, 'Do you want a line?' I went upstairs with her to her bathroom and she had a bag of cocaine.

"Kerry tipped it out and made lines and then snorted it up her nose. I wasn't shocked, I know what she's like, all her friends know what she's like."

The star has refused to let the fact she's expecting her fourth child-her second with husband Mark Croft-interfere with her party lifestyle right from the start. The pair knew that she was pregnant when they renewed their vows in Italy in September.

The friend told us: "As they said their vows she thanked Mark for being a good dad to the three children and he giggled and said, 'You mean four!' Everybody thought they were just trying for another kid, but they knew she was actually expecting.

"They wanted to keep it quiet so Kerry could get wrecked. She drank champagne and vodka and downed shots of Aftershock. She was doing cocaine too."

She was still on the drug three months later, just after a scan had revealed Kerry, whose eldest two daughters are by ex-hubby Brian McFadden, was expecting her first son.

The friend said: "Kerry was so happy but was still taking the drugs."

In one day, she saw Kerry snort EIGHT lines of cocaine."She is frantic when she doesn't have any. She needs coke to get out of bed," said the pal.

"I remember one morning, she was about four months' pregnant with this baby, and she came down all sluggish and could barely speak.

"Then she went upstairs and did a line of cocaine and was like a different person, all sparkly-eyed and chatty.

"Sometimes she goes up to the bedroom and does it off a tray that she has up there. I have seen her doing it with Heidi in there with her."

But Kerry, who went into rehab for drug treatment two months before Heidi's birth last February, keeps her habit hidden from her eldest daughters Molly, six, and Lilly-Sue, five. "She doesn't do it with the older girls in case they say something," the friend said.

Kerry has also been drinking and smoking during the pregnancy.

She was seen on her MTV show Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love slugging two glasses of wine before going on The Jonathan Ross Show.

And the friend told us: "I went round a few weeks ago and she opened a bottle of wine and drank the whole thing. And she is smoking 20 menthol fags a day."

Her diet is none too pretty either.

"When she is coming down from cocaine she can't stop putting food in her gob. Mark calls her the Burger Van.

"She eats McDonald's burgers, gets a take-out or slams some Iceland food in the microwave. She gets £100-worth of free food a week from them."

Mark knows Kerry's drug habit is out of control-but can do nothing to stop it.

"She makes him go all over the place to get her cocaine when she runs low."

And she's sold him the line about drugs being less harmful to a baby than drink. "She has convinced him the baby can be weaned off them. But he knows she is in a mess. She is in a complete state."
