The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy singer belted out his hits as a gift to the Royal host-while other celebs dined on top-notch nosh from his Highgrove estate.
The 75 stars, including Rod's wife Penny, were handed glasses of Highgrove-branded bubbly as they arrived at the Gloucestershire estate from 7pm.
Then they dined on cheese souffle for starters, followed by beef from Charles's Scottish Home Farm estate and Highgrove vegetables for the main course-plus a dessert of vanilla panna cotta and Highgrove fruits.
It was washed down with red wine given to the Prince as a birthday gift.
Entertainment at the sumptuous party also included stars of BBC2's the Kumars at No.42-Sanjeev Bhaskar, 44, and Meera Syal, 47- giving a personalised version of their spoof chatshow.A total SEVENTY-FIVE celebs mingled with the Prince and his family-including wife Camilla, sons William and Harry and their girlfriends Kate Middleton and Chelsy Davy.
Among the stars attending were Dames Judy Dench and Maggie Smith, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley, Rowan Atkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Richard E Grant, Joan Rivers and Prunella Scales.
Camilla's children Tom and Laura and her sister Annabel Elliot were also there. The bash was less formal than the party hosted by The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Thursday night for her son's special birthday.
Charles was even set to give an unscripted speech before last night's do finished at 1am today.
Beforehand guests were asked to call Clarence House for his "wedding- style" gift list. Items included saplings for Highgrove, butterfly-friendly grasses, anything from the Royal Horticultural Society and several varieties of old English fruit tree.
Michael Fawcett, Charles's party organiser and former valet, is believed to have helped Camilla, 61, with the arrangements.
It is understood that she asked for her £750-a-cut hairdresser Hugh Green to be chauffeured from London to do her barnet for the big night.
Charles is said to love the way Hugh-who did Camilla's hair on their wedding day-does a flicked-back style.

What rights do we have to call anyone ugly,Just leave your thought to yourself,
I may not agree with everything His Royal may of done but he must live with that.
I pray that he never becomes king and She queen,
God Knows what has happened and jugdment day comes, but what I do think is when you think of 750 pounds hair cuts and hair do;s there are many many people straving around the world,
they should be ashamed of this and other things they do.
Happy 60th Charles and may God you.hope you see many more.

Enjoy reading all Royal stories. Diana was a bright light but should now be left to rest in peace. Good luck to Prince Charles and Camilla. He did his duty and now deserves all the happiness he gets.

Leave Charles alone. He has spent his life in the public eye with people waiting to pounce and dish the dirt.
So what if Camilla is a beauty like Diana. She stood by for many years, behaving with discretion.
If Charles could have done, he would have married Camilla in the first place but he couldn't because she wasn't a virgin and had previous boyfriends who might have come out of the woodwork with stories about her.
He may have money but he has no real freedom. How would you like your every move watched by security guards? Or paparrazzi trying to get photos.
I believe the Monarchy is a wonderful thing. They are there to provide continuity and stability in an ever changing political scene.
The Queen and Prince Charles are personally acquainted with many world leaders. I am sure they help our country a great deal behing the scenes.
They are undervalued in my opinion.

No amount of money spent on camilla can help her,
rember the saying YOU CAN NOT MAKE A SILK PURSE FROM A SOWS EAR.

You might want to check your facts, Stephen Fry was not at this party but was in fact in Madagascar.

Don't be so hard on the hiarchy, it could all be worse. You could be living in America like I do & have a nutcase president like Obama ruling the land!
God help us after January-the doors will open to Arabs & who knows what will happen. I would much rather have the homely Prince ruling the land than him.
As for Kate, why shouldn't she hang on? She's getting all she can get-favors of the royalty, publicity, etc. Once she stops she'll have to do something real, like go back to her own life, whatever that is or will be.
As for Carmilla, well, the poor woman might be beautiful inside!

You know something. Why doesn't Kate Middleton move on already. She is like William's playtoy now. I think he is making it more than obvious that he's done with her. But, to me, all she is is a hanger on. They ain't getting married. He'll give himself to his country, long before he ever gives himself up to her!
Move on Kate. Just go.
Prince Charles is still a little boy who hasn't grown up. No wonder his father mocks him. He is just a silly little boy who wants to play with his silly trees and plants. I for one will never forget him "talking to plants" Never. They are all bloody mad! To the tower with the lot of them, I say!

And I Quote:-'OK, he's odd. OK, his wife isn't the best looking woman on the planet. OK, his previous wife was a nutter. OK, his younger son has ginger hair and thinks it's auburn. But overall he's a force for good and by my own thinking anyone giving strong criticism should propose some alternative that would improve society, which isn't true of the rather jealous and unpleasant comments already here.
By Paul. Posted November 16 2008 at 11:56 AM.'UNQUOTE
And of course NONE of the above is 'unpleasant' AND unkind to various sectors of the population?!!! You have insulted Prince Charles' wife, the dead Mother of his children, his auburn haired child and said he himself is 'odd', talk about a back-handed compliment!!!

No other person has done more to help troubled, unemployed young people than Prince Charles with the Prince's Trust. Target corrupt bankers, many of whom have far more money than Charles and have actually contributed nothing but human misery in the credit crunch. He's created successful businesses of his own - good on him. He's a patron to the arts and many charities - good on him. He's part of a machine that attracts foreigners to the UK and gives us much needed revenues through tourism. But most of all, we go back to the Prince's Trust and everything he has done there - great on him. OK, he's odd.

A 'Wedding-List' style birthday-present list? Has this man no shame? Surely any monies spent on gifts would have been better put towards a charity? This man has everything he ever wanted and still wants more!!!
By Lily. Posted November 16 2008 at 11:38 AM.
Let hope and pray our Queen out lives Charles, we do not want Charles and Camilla on the throne.

All the finest haircuts and clothes will not make a lady out of Camilla. She was born ugly and will remain ugly all her life.

If I was a British tax payer reading that story today, I would be both annoyed and angry! Need I write more? Surely it's time for this circus to be disbanded and drag yourselves into the 21st century! He is a silly looking 60 year old man dressed up in military gear, even though he never fought for his beloved country in the battlefields. If Gordon Brown is serious about saving the British economy, he might want to look at the massive savings to be obtained from stoping this traditonal nonsense! I don't think there is any "Real" interest or desire to allow this "family" to continue on,and it's my geniune opinion that they now need to be phased out! "Happy Birthday Charlie"!

It is really good that the Royal Family are showing their solidarity towards their British-Subjects. More and more I am getting to realise that the 'let them eat cake' motto is filtering in to the Royal psyche. They have no grip on the British mood at the moment and flaunt any wealth they have attained. The younger Royals parade around with women who are so desperate to become one of 'them' and by their actions to achieve their aim, end up making the Royal-Family look stupid and naive by not recognising what is going on, to their own detriment. Also,by default that of Her Majesty and the ruination of the history of the Royal-Family. The younger Royals are treading a path that could end the loyalty that the British-Public once held towards the entire Royal-Family. Her Majesty The Queen has always behaved with decorum and dignity, this is being eroded by the behavior of the younger Royal associates and as a result reflects badly on all that has been achieved by The Queen. Her Majesty needs to step-in and read the riot-act before it is too late!!!

What recession? £750 for a cut and blow dry sounds like a bargain to me, bet Kate can't wait to get on the expenses gravy train!
