A DEVASTATED ex-love of England star Wayne Bridge today tells how the Man City defender dumped her for "gold digger" Vanessa Perroncel.

Model Sam Ramplin was sure she had a future with Bridge - introducing him to her two young children and letting him stay nights at her Essex home.

But her dreams were shattered when she saw press pictures of him romping on a beach with a topless Vanessa.

"I was very upset and very angry. And now I know for sure what kind of woman she is, I am even more angry," she said

"She is an absolute gold digger. She got together with Wayne and had a baby with him after a very short relationship.

"Then she moved on to his married best friend John Terry - nice!"

Sam, now a presenter on Sky's Angels TV, added: "Throughout all this, she hasn't shown any remorse whatsoever and certainly no feelings - not for Wayne, not for John Terry's wife, not for their children and not even for her own child with Wayne.

"Maybe Wayne and I would have stayed together if it wasn't for her."

Sam met Bridge, 29, in an Essex nightclub in 2004 when he was out with none other that his then Chelsea team-mate John Terry.

Over the next months, they would go clubbing at weekends, spending nights in Chelsea's upmarket Conrad Hotel.

Sam, 36, said: "John Terry was always out clubbing with us. He and Wayne were inseparable, the best of friends."

Then after six months, Bridge cut her dead, breaking off the romance with no explanation.

Just weeks later, he was with Vanessa. And Page Three girl Sam is still furious about the way she was treated. "Wayne is being portrayed as a little angel in this scandal but he's really not like that at all," she insisted.

"As far as I'm concerned he is just as thoughtless and selfish as John Terry and treats those who love him just as badly.

"I loved Wayne very much but he picked me up and when he tired of me he cut me off without a second thought."

She added: "He just blanked me and left me feeling hurt and confused. It was very cruel."

Then she saw the pictures in a newspaper of Wayne in Marbella with Vanessa. She said: "I was gutted - gutted that Wayne never had the decency to tell me there was another woman involved.

"For me, it was a brutal betrayal.

"And I know it sounds silly, but it also hurt me terribly that he had taken her away on holiday because the whole time we were together, he had never once done anything like that with me, never even bought me a gift."

Bridge also refused to invite her to his home in Surrey, but was happy to spend the night with her at the Essex home she shared with her two children.

"I had told Wayne about my kids after a few dates. He was a bit taken aback at first but then he seemed cool with it.

"He'd come round, we'd just be a regular couple."

Now in a new relationship, Sam has forgiven Bridge.

"I do feel for Wayne but I hope that this hurtful thing that has happened to him has taught him to treat others better himself."
