Thug caught by mobile pic after punching a nurse unconscious
A THUG who punched a nurse unconscious in a street attack was caught after his picture was found on a mobile phone later found in her bag.
Leanne Gallagher flicked through pictures with her boyfriend Martin Steadman and was stunned to see a picture of Matthew Lloyd, 25, one of the three men who attacked both of them outside a Southampton club.
Police recognised Lloyd. A passer-by is thought to have picked up the phone thinking it was Leanne's.
Lloyd was found guilty at Southampton Crown Court of assault and will be sentenced later.
Judge Tom Longbottom said he can expect prison.
Two accomplices were never caught.
