The IG postcode in Essex is back in pole position on the National Lottery's list of luckiest places for the first time since 2006 - with a top prize winner for every 6,722 ticketholders.
Loaded locals include a Thames Water syndicate of 12 workers from Beckton sewage treatment works in Barking, who won £1,247,863.
And Iford isn't the only place proving a major draw. Surging three places up the table to second position is NEWCASTLE with one major prize winner per 6,884 hopefuls.
The Lucky Six syndicate's scoop of £10.2 million at the end of last year swelled the NE postcode's winnings to £287,685,011 since the lottery started in 1994.
Last year's number one area MEDWAY made way for Ilford this year, slipping to third place with one winner for every 6,972 players.
It is the fifth time the ME postcode, with towns including Rochester and Gillingham, has featured in the top ten and the area has a total prize pot of £100,286,743.
BROMLEY (BR) is a new entry this year, joining the list for the first time in ninth place, giving Kent three postcodes in the chart.
And DONCASTER (DN) makes an appearance for the first time since 2005, nabbing the tenth place slot with the help of the £2.2 million win last July by an eight-strong syndicate from Corus steelworks .
The national average of winners per ticketholder now stands at one in 7,366, compared to last year's one in 8,642. The figures relate to top prizes in all draw-based lottery games and scratchcards
A National Lottery spokesman said: "The Ilford postcode seems to be back on a lucky streak after regaining the top ranking from Medway towns.
"But it's got strong competition from the Newcastle postcode which is hot on its heels after another lucky year.
"However, no matter where you live, with an average of 20 millionaires created in each postcode and £36 billion paid out in prizes since 1994, it's clear that lottery luck has touched every part of the UK."
