SINGER Pete Doherty may face a new police quiz over a partygoer's balcony death plunge after fresh evidence uncovered by the News of the World.

The star's bodyguard has revealed Mark Blanco was thrown out of the party at a third floor flat TWICE after rowing with the star - and not just ONCE before his fall as the inquest heard.

Jonnny "Headlock" Jeannevol's sensational revelation will lead to even more questions over the 30-year-old actor's death in December 2006, now being re- investigated by cops.

And Blanco's girlfriend Naomi Stirk is said to have told lawyers probing the tragedy that Jeannevol had CONFESSED to her that he killed the partygoer - which she passed on to police.

But Naomi says her evidence wasn't taken seriously because Jeannevol, 39, had retracted an identical confession he made to cops. They didn't believe he had done it and sent him for a mental health assessment. Last night Blanco's mother Sheila, who has always believed her son was murdered, said: "This is dynamite - vital new evidence. It could be the breakthrough we need."

Calmed

Jeannevol said he, Doherty, 30 and the singer's literary agent Paul Roundhill first pushed 6ft 4ins Blanco out of the flat onto the stairwell balcony after his bust-up with the singer. Roundhill, 54, admitted punching him.

All three told the inquest they never saw him alive again after that and believed he must have jumped off the balcony.

But in our taped interview, Jeannevol said: "It calmed down for a moment after he was gone - but the next thing I knew Mark was back in the flat.

"I pushed him out of the door to the balcony and shut the door. The next thing we knew he was lying in a heap." Blanco's mum Sheila said: "This is the first time any one of them has said Mark came back into the flat a second time.

"We know it was not suicide. There was 52 seconds from the time Mark re-entered the building to the time he fell. Something must have happened in there."

Blanco family lawyer Michael Wolkind QC said: "At last we have an admission that Mark came back into the flat and again they threw him out. They are inching closer to the balcony and we are inching closer to the truth."

Mr Wolkind confirmed Naomi Stirk, 25, had supplied a new statement. Last night a source said: "She's thought to have told lawyers what she has told friends - that Jonny confessed to her."

A Metropolitan police spokesman said last night: "The new evidence will be investigated fully."
