An avalanche of protests have been written by our furious readers about the millions of pounds paid to executives at the BBC.
Opposition leader David Cameron had his say in the Sun today. He wrote: "Even I, a fan of the BBC, think that it's time for change. The telltale signs are there for all to see. "
"The BBC has lost touch with the values of the people who support it through the licence fee."
Meanwhile our readers were almost completely united in their disgust at the huge salaries paid to BBC management fat cats - with very few voicing any support for the Beeb.
TC said: "The amounts these people are paid would pay my wages for in excess of 20 years. Who lives in the real world?"
Fellow reader Marie Lambm added: "The BBC has lost all its integrity, it needs to move fast and get rid of all these fatcats because the people have had enough of been ripped off."
And reader Vincent said: "What a disgusting rip off! I want my licence fee back as it is being misused."
The BBC director-general Mark Thompson has now vowed to rein in exorbitant pay deals for big-money stars.
He said: "We go through periods where there's sharp, upward inflation, but we sometimes go through periods where there's retrenchment.
"For the BBC, like every other broadcaster, this is quite a difficult period.
"Inflation is running much higher than the licence fee, so we are looking at all of our expenditure to make sure that we can save money."
