Bride Abi Pattison-Hart had paid £8,000 to hire him a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 for their big day.
But just an hour before the ceremony David, 33, LOST CONTROL of the 220mph motor on a roundabout.
It MOUNTED a verge, SMASHED through a fence, FLIPPED 360 degrees in the air and landed in a DITCH. Incredibly David escaped with bruises and got wed at Hollins Hall Country Club, Bradford, West Yorks, before confessing to his new wife.
Best man Warwick French, 35, said: "We'd barely got the seats warm before we were climbing out of the window."
Coffee shop owner Abi, 27, said: "Thank God I paid the excess insurance - or we'd have had to sell the house."

Little less foot to the right and more to the middle, go hire another and give it another go, not the wedding, driving the car.

From one wedding crasher to another!
Oh my god that's pretty much exactly what happened on my wedding day too, except it was a driver from the hire place who crashed the Lambo my hubby was in an hour before we got married in august this year, he arrived at the church in his best man's car instead, and my little boy told me about the accident after the ceremony. At least David and my hubby Jay both came out of their crashes not badly hurt and got to the church on time. At least we both have great stories to tell about our big days, weddings not to be forgotten in a hurry!!

Just goes to show what happens when people get behind the wheel of a car without learning/knowing the cars potential...
Maybe the car hire company should make people drive the car with an instructor before being allowed to take it on their own.......!!

What an classic! Great story to tell your grandchildren. It must have been hard getting through the wedding ceremony with that on your mind. Happy ending anyway, congratulations to the happy couple!

I wonder if he was charged with wreckless driving?

It doesn't take a genius to work out, that he did not lose control of the car....he lost control of himself, his ego took over and a lack of ability as a driver, wrecked the car.
