I was bullied from primary and followed up to secondry school. It got to the stage i wouldn't eat i became withdrawn, lonely ,depressed,it had a massive impact on my childhood i would selfharm even tryed to end my life.It didn't feel knowone cared the mount of times i went to teachers they would just push me away.so i gaved up even at times when i did tell a teacher it just made things worst.I became a misserble child.I want to say to all thoes who are going through it remember don't give up and don't ever allow them bullys to win.as you are far more better then that .Try and tell someone if not a teacher a family memeber or a freind don't suffer in silence you have the right to feel safe and be protected.

My daughter has been bullied throughout her senior years at school - have reported the bullying to the support team and they have done nothing. All they have told me is next time the bullies do it there would be consequences but they have told them 4 times this and still nothing has been done. The support team/teachers said my daughter could go into isolation away from everyone - why should the victim be put away from everyone and the bullies get on with their every day life. She has gone through name calling, threats and everything and the school says name calling is not bullying. She has changed now and she feels that there is no point reporting any forms of bulling as the school does not do anything about it.

Shouldn't we take care of the bullies first? In some cases if we tell the parents of the bullies; the bullying stops. Then we tell the teachers. Victims should try teachers they get best along with. To avoid cyberbullying don't give anyone you don't trust your email address or your phone number. Change your phone number or email address if you start getting multiple messages of "hate". To avoid physical bullying try and ignore the bullies or you can try making more good friends who will stand with you against them. All people keep going and stay strong and true to your purpose.

Message for Julian: We bring our children up in this world to be decent human beings to one another, and this is the way it should be. Some children and young people are being bullied on the web "and also at school"-I think you have missed a point here" - So they cannot get away from it. The REALITY is our decent lovely children and young people are committing suicide and every effort should be taken to prevent this. It isn't easy sticking up for yourself-you obviously have never been bullied or know what it is like when you are afraid. It is not just a physical thing -it is psychological and emotional. Julian; Are you going to give us lessons on getting by in life? You will always remain ignorant". It's not that easy is it?

Are you kidding me, cyberbullying? If your kid won't stand up for themselves on the internet how will they ever learn to do it in real life? You need to give your children a dose of reality or they'll never get by in life.

Our daughter is 14 and was bullied at her previous high school by a number of 'girls' on numerous occasions. One incident went to court. The school did nothing so we moved our daughter to another school and they have been great. Even now though girls from the old school have been waiting for her and another recent incident has involved the police again. All she wants is to be left alone - she's made some great friends at the new school but the bullies just won't leave her alone. Bullying doesn't only affect the victim, it's made our lives and her younger sisters life hell as well - seeing her beaten and humiliated by worthless, mindless morons who have nothing better to do than pick on someone else. There are NO excuses - I don't care what their backgrounds or life histories are - they DO NOT have the right to terrorise anyone else.

I think all adults should take resposibility to protect children from bullying on the internet if they can.
my grandchildren use Bebo/Facebook ect: and I often check out pages of their friends and people whome they have added to their page, If I ever noticed that any child had been left a disturbing message I would report it myself and ask the person who had been left the message to do the same and tell block that person from getting onto their page.
I remind my grandchildren that if anyone should leave a message which is in any way threatning or nasty they should tell an adult, report it, then block the person from being able to go back onto their page.

i have a son whom is 6 now, who has been bullied, physically and mentally for 2 years at school. we have just moved him to a new school, which has been wonderful.at the old school, the head teacher told us time and time again that is was not happening, she would not allow it.... belive me it was happening, and to many other kids too, and to my knowledge still is. it worries me as a parent that kids this young are so cruel and vicious.... why..my son is a diffrent boy now, because of what happend to him, and there is no support for kids of his age, because i dont think people want to admit that kids this age are so wicked..my husband and i work hard to keep him away from these kids, but he wont always be young enough to protect..... and that scares me...
