DIAMOND geezer Wayne Rooney has a big bling surprise up his sleeve for wife Coleen when she makes him a daddy next month.

For the generous Man U star will present her with a £50,000 diamond-encrusted watch after the birth of their first child.

He has ordered the ticker from New York jewellers Jacob & Co and is having it custom made and engraved with a personal message.

A source close to the couple said: "Coleen is crazy about diamonds so that was key to the design of the watch. Wayne has spent weeks making sure it looks just right."

Coleen, 23, is expecting the baby on 24 October, which is also Wayne's 24th birthday.

The source added: "Coleen is finding the last month of her pregnancy tough so Wayne wanted to get her an extra special gift."

Last year Jacob & Co made the couple's £1 million wedding rings and for Coleen's 21st Wayne bought her a £200,000, ten-carat diamond ring from Chopard.

The source said: "Wayne can't wait to see Coleen's reaction when he presents her with the watch."

i think that a bit extraphicant to fork out that kind of money on a silly watch its go to show that he dosnt care about money no credit crunch in his family eh roo what its to be when second baby arrives a house a private jet what i think ok he s going to be a dad for the first time but wait until he has more kids that kind of money for a dimond watch is so stupid but hae a desent watch that she can wear every day as for that watch she l not wear it every day some one will steal it off her when she wear s it just think of the insurance on that watch roo my advice is to just buy her a casio watch its the thaught that counts

I think its a nice present, if all husbands were that thoughtful!! They do a lot for charities cos Colleens sister is disabled so they do alot for her. Good luck xx

The Rooney's do a lot for charity, but don't go round boasting about it. If Wayne wants to treat his wife, and make her feel special, then good on him. At least they are married, and not sponging off the state, and they WANT this baby, it is not a result of a one-night fling, it is actually conceived in love, which is unusual in this day and age. I wish them all the best. At least they won't be slagging each other off on Jeremy Kyle show, demanding DNA tests etc...!
