The ex-binman was booked to perform at the soccer legend's £250,000 marriage to model Danielle Bux, 29, in Portofino, Italy, next weekend.
But Andy, 45, backed out after learning he had been booked to fly out on the budget airline.
His wife and manager Denise confirmed that Andy, runner-up in the 2005 X Factor, had not been happy over the flight.
She added: "He will not be singing at the wedding. You will have to ask Gary and Danielle why." Andy, of Enfield, London, was rehearsing when he learned of the travel plans.
An insider said: "Apparently his agent, who was going to Italy with him, was straight on the phone saying they don't do easyJet. Then, when they found out there wasn't a private taxi at the other end, Andy pulled out.
"It's a bit rich since not long ago he was riding in a dustcart."
A spokesman for Match of the Day host Lineker, 49, said last night: "It's a private event."

I dont think he thought he was too good for Easy Jet, he knows that they are not a reliable friendly airline, I wouldnt fly with Easy Jet either if you paid me, so give the guy a break

It doesn't sound like the down to earth Andy we hear about, maybe theres more to this story.

Since his well earned success, Andy Abraham has remained the same humble, generous and thoroughly decent man that he always was. It's a shame that even when people are friendly and decent that they still get bad press regardless.

Easyjet don't fly to Genoa, which is the nearest airport to Portofino. They do fly to Nice, which is nearly a couple of hours away. Presumably, Andy would also need to bring equipment with him for the gig, so I'd imagine it would be tricky to get from Nice on public transport. It sounds like there's a bit of a Bridezilla moment going on behind the scenes!

Andy
You can't have your cake and eat it!
May be they thought they were paying too much for your services and decided to make a cut on the travel costs.
They chose you because they probably thought you were a nice guy?
The thought of even being chosen to perform at Gary's Wedding is an honour in its self, most people would have got there own transport but that was not good enough for you!
I have really changed my opinion of you; and hope now they find someone better.
Your Loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

never mind, you can always go back on the bins, that's where your real talent lies.
What a total plonker.

Something about this story really doesn't ring true...
Hmmm.....
I'd love to know the real reason!

"runner-up in the 2005", says it all really. Who does he think he is? Get a grip man, you are not Elton John, you cannot command first class treatment for been a second class star!

What a shame fame has gone to this bloke's head. I thought he was a nice down to earth bloke, but it seems he thinks he is better than he actually is. Surely he had a contract for the gig? Maybe his missus didn't read the smallprint. Doubt this will do his career much good.

Andy, there's a recession on.
So you fly yourself there, pay for your own taxi, but drum up some publicity and hopefully new jobs for yourself at the gig.
Tsk!
