SPECIAL ORDER: Shakib

THE Bangladesh cricket squad forked out nearly £6,000 to have curry flown 150 miles to their hotel.

The players-in the UK for the Twenty20 World Cup-ordered chicken jalfrezi and other exotic dishes from Bangladeshi food specialists Bollywood Spice in Warmley, Gloucs.

Staff prepared the food in their kitchen then took it by privately chartered helicopter to Nottingham.

Batsman Shakib Al Hasan, 22, who made the order after spotting the firm's food in magazines, said: "We wanted to enjoy what we get at home."
