DESOLATE Jordan is going off the rails - as the stress of her divorce from Peter Andre takes its toll, her friends revealed last night.

She is exhausted from lack of sleep, not eating properly - and has also hit the bottle in a bid to numb the pain of the separation.

The model has also been lashing out at those around her as she accuses Peter of trying to ruin her career.

Pals say she is in "complete meltdown" with one friend revealing last night: "Katie's hit rock bottom. She doesn't know what to do with herself.

"Her behaviour is all over the place. She's been sobbing, trying to call Peter and attacking anyone she can. Her friends are worried she's drinking too much."

But the friend insisted: "She's going to come back from this.

"I have never seen her so determined. She likes a fight and she wants to beat him."

Her determination was underlined when Jordan - who has a £40million fortune - told another pal: "Peter's desperate. He's trying to kick me where it hurts - my wallet. But I'm not going to let him destroy me."

But today the News of the World can also reveal how Jordan:

Takes SLEEPING PILLS and gets DRUNK to ease her heartbreak over the split.
NIBBLES on biscuits instead of eating meals as friends worry she is becoming too thin.
Flies into RAGES when Peter refuses to pick up the phone when she calls during moments of weakness.
Has turned on a close friend of the couple, BLAMING her for coming between them and trying to WRECK their marriage.
Wants to DITCH her squeaky-clean Katie Price image and bring back her NAUGHTY Jordan alter-ego.

DIVORCE FIGHT: Jordan yesterday

She cracked this week as she held lengthy meetings with her aides to plot her future. One friend revealed: "Katie's gone into a complete meltdown this week.

"All of a sudden this became a reality.

"She's become convinced Peter is out to destroy her and take away the reputation she's worked so hard to build up."

Jordan, 31, has been rocked by suggestions that Peter and his management team want to damage her so badly she will be unable to make any money in the future.

A source close to her said: "She feels she's had it from Peter from every angle and believes he's going below the belt.

"She's worked so hard to build up her career and her millions. She thinks he doesn't want her to make any money.

"She wants to come out fighting. She's more ambitious than ever. She thinks that in two years he'll have no career and she'll be the one everyone is talking about again.

"Jordan's done nothing wrong and doesn't want to hide away. She's struggling to cope with the way people have turned against her."

This week Jordan lashed out at her husband and a former mutual pal-who she believes is now working against her.

A source said: "Jordan had a massive drunken slanging match with a close friend last Sunday who's taken Peter's side in this.

She couldn't hold it together and was violently swearing down the phone at her

"She accused her of trying to break them up all along. It all got to her and she couldn't hold it in any more."

That confrontation resulted in Jordan repeatedly trying to contact 36-year-old pop singer Peter on his mobile phone.

The source explained: "He wouldn't pick up. He's refusing to take her calls. She was in tears with frustration and sadness. Peter's lack of contact is driving Katie to distraction.

"She's been used to taking out her anger on Peter for years and now that she can't, she doesn't quite know how to deal with it."

The source went on: "She's complaining constantly, especially about not being able to sleep. She's become unbearable. She's finding it tough around the kids and isn't getting up and about until they've already left for school.

"She's spending most of the day lying in bed bossing people about. She's very moody.

"Her hangover after her drink-fuelled antics at the weekend didn't help. But she wasn't prepared to admit she was actually drunk."

Jordan is planning to continue her wild boozing on a trip to party isle Ibiza with her singer friend Jamelia in July.

A pal said: "It's the type of thing Peter would never have approved of. He wouldn't have liked her to go on holiday to such a notorious place for partying. She plans to go crazy and let her hair down. She wants to start having fun again and it will be a big drinking few days for sure." Jordan's diet has also become of great concern to those around her.

The insider explained: "She's only picking at her food. Some women turn to ice-cream and chocolate during a divorce, but Katie's the complete opposite.

"Some days she'll only eat a few biscuits. It doesn't help her mood and it's not good for her. But there's no telling her."

Katie is also ignoring advice from friends to turn her back on former boyfriends, including one-time boyband star Dane Bowers.

One friend said: "She's expecting more visits from Dane. We've told her he might be using her to raise his profile but she got very defensive." Jordan hit back at their warnings, telling them: "No, he really likes me." Now that Peter will have less of a role in the day-to-day life of her disabled seven-year-old son Harvey, Jordan is also encouraging his biological dad Dwight Yorke to have more contact.

The pal added: "She wants Harvey to have a father figure in his life as much as possible. She thinks that's very important now Peter is going to be less of a factor.

Peter and Jordan's long-time agent Claire Powell broke her silence on the split last night.

Claire, who helped turn trashy Jordan into the more family-orientated Katie Price, revealed Jordan wants to go back to her glamour girl persona. She said: "Katie loves being Jordan and she may have thought, 'I want to be Jordan but you are forcing me to be Katie'."

She also revealed the couple's romance- which began on reality show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here-was not a publicity stunt and says they are still in love.

Claire, who featured regularly on the couple's ITV2 reality shows, insisted: "They did love each other. I am sure they still do, it has just not worked out. I would not have got involved if it was a publicity stunt."

Claire stopped representing Jordan after the couple's separation last month-but still manages Peter.

Meanwhile, Jordan's new handlers plan to turn her into the new Victoria Beckham to kick-start the next phase of her career.

A source involved in the plan explained: "There are so many similarities between Jordan and Posh-the way they talk, look, act and are misunderstood by the public almost every day. Victoria isn't liked by everyone but she's made millions by being a style icon people are fascinated by.

"Jordan's going to be introducing a much more bizarre slant to her fashion and look. She's going to be working with the fascination people have with her.

"She's more accessible than Victoria Beckham and because she's in the UK still, we think she could make even more money and be even more successful. This is a huge moment for her."

The source added: "Katie knows that in two years she's going to be riding high again. What she is certain about is that this is very far from being the end of Jordan.

"Katie Price is gone for a while and Jordan is about to come back in the most exciting way possible." Peter dumped Jordan last month after 3½ years of marriage when he saw newspaper pictures of her on a drunken night out in Bristol where she snogged two men and did a raunchy pole dance in front of open-mouthed club-goers.

The couple have two children together-Junior, three, and Princess Tiaami, 22 months. Peter is reported to have bought a house in Hove, East Sussex, after quitting the family's £2.75million mansion in Woldingham, Surrey, an hour's drive away.

Our source added: "Katie's out to beat Peter now because she feels she's been treated so badly by him.

"She can't back down now, it's gone too far. She doesn't want to see him.

"Yes, she's finding things difficult and she's all over the place emotionally. But that's because she's a caring woman who was in love."

Someone really needs to have a talk with katie about her behaviour- It was uncomfortable watching your constant put down of Pete -he seems a genuine guy who loves his wife and his children including Harvey who he classes as his own- he really is a patient man with the children and with your behaviour towards him- I understand right now you are very hurt by the fact he has ended your marraige but you are going about it the wrong way - you will never win him back by bringing exs back into your life and allowing it to be public knowledge splashed all over the papers this is just going to push him further away not make him come running back to you - also you cant use the kids as weapons to throw at him saying he cant see Harvey your not only hurting pete your also hurting your son who you can see loves and adores pete- yes hes hurt you by leaving you but you have to ask yourself what role you played in him leaving and wot role your playing now cause this behaviour isnt going to make him come back to you. i used to have admiration for katie, and it wasnt the spilt that turned me against her it was her tv show, when you watch it she is always stopping pete talking or talking over him or putting him down and it was embrassing to watch so i can imagine how he felt, she is a nasty girl and need to sort it out cause she can not always be the centre of attention it is very unatractive. i think she has ruin her looks really bad she was lovely before now she looks old.she has lost her career and 95% of her fans. i think pete will find someone and relise what has been missing in his relationship with pete he will find love and that makes him richer than katie.

How Pete put up with your behaviour towards him for as long as he did makes him a saint in my eyes. I see you as a very shallow and selfish person - its all me me me, with no respect for anyone. From watching your programme it seems Pete had more time for the children than you ever did.

Yes you have made millions but it's not made you into a nice person!

Stick to your guns Pete and fight for your children and any money you are entitled to. After all you had no choice but to leave nobody should have to put up with behaviour like hers! Any decent women (married or not) wouldn't be getting her boobs out and snogging random men - take a good look at yourself. i think that katie is jealous of anybody who get more exposure than her, hence the jade remarks, which in my mind was when people really started to turn against her, she needs to have exposure to survive and even if it cost her family and husbands, she needs counselling because she will end up very lonely, she competes with everyone and needs to be 1st all the time at this rate she will be competeing with her kids, will she flash her boobs if princess is a glamour model just to take the limelight of her she need help got some serious issue and you can say what you like about pete, but he hasnt been snapped out partying he only been seen taking kids to farms and park and feeding the ducks, spending quality time with them, he is very loving to his kids, and for her to let them stay with a nanny instead of pete while she goes out partying is disgusting and just showing that she always need control, she is finished their no way back from this because people now see that she not who we thought.

I am really sad that this happened. I watched their TV show every day and I just love it. What am I going to do now without them. I beleive that nobody can give any suggestion because they did not know how things worked in their home. On the Tv is different, and people can change what they want to appear on the scream. Since Pete has left, Katie's life has been more and more like a train wreck. If she is going back to being Jordan does this mean she will be dyeing her hair back to blonde again.

Pete tried to make a go at the marriage. He stayed with her for 3.5 years and gave her 2 kids. But who wants to hang around if you are constantly being cussed by your other half.

I'm loving the comments on here. Particularly the phrase: "desperate tart" which seems to be reoccurring! LOVE IT! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
Honestly, this is all such a bloody joke. WHO CARES?

I feel sorry for the children in all this, who have done nothing wrong and will have to suffer the consequences, as do all children in divorces.
Most people don't, however, invite the media in to root through their trash.
I don't really care about either Peter Andre or Katie Price.
Their entire marriage has been in the public eye from day 1. They have sacrificed their dignity for cash so can't be surprised at the outcome.
If she wants to be turned into the next Victoria Beckham then good luck to her.
Personally, I think it's an odd choice, as VB is even less popular than she is.
Perhaps, if Katie Price really wants to transform her public image, she should try developing a talent which would validate her fame instead of resting on her pretty dubious laurels.
I can't imagine anyone will want yet another autobiography and we've all seen her naked.
Maybe some time out from being in the media would do her the world of good.
Or maybe she should just take the money and run permanently.
In any event, Peter Andre won't have to listen to any more of her shrewish put downs, so he's on to a winner there!
The same can't necessarily be said for the rest of us. Sadly.

Its such a shame, I really thought they were good together. But watching their reality programme, katie is always putting pete down. Pete seems to be a honest, loving, husband and father. I feel really sorry for him. KATIE DID NOT FINISH WITH PETE - HE FINISHED WITH HER, after he couldn't take her secrective behaviour, druken carousing in clubs,and her suspect closeness with Andrew the horsey chinless wonder. Tits out, and out of control behaviour.
At the beggining, she did little to woo him back, she acted very foolishly, confronting him furiously throwing out his things from THEIR family home, changing LOCKS, disrespectfully throwing out all HIS things,trying to inflame him further by having Dane her ex around all evening until 4am. I would just like to say that she has gone over the top with surgery and she doesnt pay a lot of attention to her kids which is bad! But if u watch her show it might be an act or not ture but she claims that all these nasty comments are false! If you watch her show she doesnt drink on them! She mostly gives attention to harvey, which is understandible, but she should treat them all the same. I do like katie price and I always have and i also like peter andre soo And for the kids sake I think they should stay together! What a shame, hPete does really come across as a caring person who obviously loves the children. Jordan is cold and heartless. Having read most of the comments on this page, it is clear to me that Kate (aka Jordan) is not as popular as she likes to think she is. As for them trying to re-launch you as a "Posh" is wrong. I never liked Jordan but when she met Peter I thought he had changed her for the better. She seemed such a good mum, always had the kids with her, seems I was wrong and he did all the caring for them, thats obvious because since the split she has taken every opportunity to be rid of them. How could she leave her disabled son in the care of a nanny and jet off with Petes kids, who she then left in the care of the hotel staff.
This is not about either of you, I never grew up with 2 parents and it is heartbreaking for your children. Katie you are not doing yourself any favours and all the money in the world cannot buy the three lovely kids you have.

It is clear that all this women cares about is her money.

Now that Andre has destroyed her "happy families" brand which was easy to maintain she is furious. She never loved Andre, this women does not even know what Love is. She loves the green God only.
