But he blasted reports questioning her ability to cope with life in the spotlight.
Speaking on Sky News at lunchtime, Piers played down public fears about Boyle's well-being following reports that she is feeling the pressure as the big night approaches.
He said: "Susan Boyle is a very, very nice lady from Scotland who never thought she would have this chance and she is really looking forward to it."
Piers, who will judge tonight's show alongside Simon Cowell and Amanada Holden said it "angered" him that people were "trying to get inside her head" amid speculation over the effect that the stress of the competition is taking.
Boyle denied a foul-mouthed outburst while watching Britain's Got Talent on television at her hotel, he said, and responded angrily to two journalists because she is "feisty".
"Susan is a feisty lady, she is not a little kitten, she is a very feisty lady from Scotland who has had a tough life and she wasn't going to take any nonsense and I applaud her for that."
The singer has been taken away from the "maelstrom frenzy" of the Wembley hotel where the competitors are staying, Morgan told the broadcaster, and is in a "quiet location".
Susan was photographed today on her way to the studios where other acts, including Stavros Flatley, were arriving from lunchtime onwards.
The other finalists include a 10-year-old Hollie Steel, who won a place after emotional scenes in last night's fifth semi-final show.
Hollie was allowed to performed twice after breaking down to cry during her first attempt at singing Edelweiss.
After a hug from her mother, Hollie was allowed to take to the stage again when she delivered a note-perfect performance.
This resulted in the judges unanimously saving the schoolgirl, from Accrington, Lancashire, praising her courage and singing voice.
Fellow child star - self-taught street dancer Aidan Davis, 11, from Birmingham - secured the most votes from the public to complete tonight's line-up.
The other acts in the final are saxophonist Julian Smith, 39, from Birmingham; dance group Flawless - aka Marlon Wallen 24, Anthony Duncan 27, Nathan Kabongo 20, Paul Samuels 20, Allan Kabeja 23, Christian Alozie 24, Leroy Dias Dos Santos 24, Simon Smith 21, Paul Steadman 32, and Nathan Gordon 23 - from London; Diversity, aka dancers Ashley Banjo 20, Jordan Banjo 16, Ian McNaughton 25, Jamie McNaughton 23, Matthew McNaughton 16, Mitchell Craske 12, Sam Craske 19, Warren Russell 18, Terry Smith 24, and Perri Luc Kiely 13, from Essex; singer Shaheen Jafargholi, aged 12, from Swansea, south Wales; tenor Shaun Smith, aged 17, from Lichfield, Staffordshire; comedy dance duo Stavros Flatley aka Demetrios and Michalakis Andreas (aka Lagi) Demetriou aged 41 and 13, from Enfield, north London; and singers Two Grand, aka John Neill, 76, and his granddaughter Sallie Lax, 12 from Doncaster.

Maybe a lesson should be learned from what took place on the Britains Got Talent stage on friday night with Hollie Steel. Are some of these children too young to take that sort of pressure? We have heard the adult contestants saying how stressful this business is so it must be very daunting for the kids. I really think that this situation must be viewed and considered pretty seriously for the future.
