NO wonder soccer hero Gary Lineker is grinning from ear to ear.

For the former England striker is set to wed his gorgeous girlfriend Danielle Bux-18 years his junior.

Lineker, 47, is planning his own match of the day after giving stunning lingerie model Danielle, 29, an engagement ring last month.

Last night a friend said: "They didn't want to make a big announcement, but it's true they're engaged and very happy."

Match Of The Day host Lineker-divorced from wife Michelle last year-plans to wed single mum Danielle in 2010.

They met on a blind date and have just bought a new £2.65 million, six-bedroom home in Surrey.
