LOVE-RAT soccer legend David Seaman has done it again-DUMPING his second wife 15 years after DITCHING his first missus for her.

The legendary England goalkeeper-once lauded as sport's Mr Nice Guy and nicknamed Safe Hands-has shocked friends and family with this heartbreak replay.

And last night abandoned wife No 2 Debbie-mother of Seaman's two youngest children, a girl of eight and a boy of seven-revealed: "Obviously we're devastated. But I have two beautiful children to protect. They're my priority."

It's a repeat of the day in 1994 when the News of the World revealed how Seaman, now 45, had left first wife and childhood sweetheart Sandra-again after ten years of marriage.

We told how the former Arsenal ace left his marital home-and sons Daniel and Tommy, then eight and seven-to move in with Highbury reception boss Debbie.

We caught him sneaking out of her London flat carrying two overnight bags. This time a spokesman for Seaman has insisted: "No one else is involved." But once again he has left a young family shattered.

The star's aide last night added: "David moved out a few weeks ago. We're just trying to resolve things as amicably as possible. Divorce lawyers aren't involved yet but they will be."

A close friend told us: "It's just like last time when David abandoned Sandra. We're all stunned and a lot of us are appalled that he can walk out on the mum of his young kids, not once, but TWICE.

"Poor Debbie's distraught. She's always said David was the man of her dreams and thought they'd set up a perfect life together. Now he's turned his back on it all. It's over."

Mates of Seaman, who earned 75 caps for his country, say he left 47-year-old Debbie, also his agent, after simply getting "bored".

The 6ft 4ins star retired from the game after 22 years, in 2004, to spend more time with his family and indulge his hobbies of fly-fishing and golf. He also competed in ITV1's hit Dancing on Ice show in 2006.

The couple appeared to enjoy an idyllic life at their 17th century farmhouse in Hertfordshire, set in five acres.

But friends realised something was up when last Saturday he turned up ALONE at the wedding of Champneys health farm boss Stephen Purdew.

Guests at the Claridge's bash-including ex Gunners Ian Wright and Tony Adams, along with Oasis star Liam Gallagher-were surprised.

One pal said: "You could tell things weren't right with David. He's a man who's always worn his heart on his sleeve. And Debbie's always been by his side, the two of them laughing and joking with each other. But this time she wasn't there.

"He made his excuses, but it was obvious something very serious has happened."

Divorce could cost Seaman a small fortune. He joined Arsenal from Queens Park Rangers in 1990 for £1.3million-a record at the time for a goalkeeper.

At his peak around 1997 he was raking in £10,000 a week and that soared in later years. A pal said: "This could cost David more than cash, though. He's always had a reputation as a warm, friendly man who stands by people.

"But a lot of us are now questioning now what kind of guy he really is."

I was shocked and saddened to hear about this. Though not surprised, its becoming a common thing with the "Strictly" contestants and David Seaman did leave his first wife and children. Debbie has a brillaint personality and has a lot of friends so she'll get over this rather distressing situation.

I am a very good family friend with Debbie and David and the two children Robbie and Georgina which by the way are suffering like mad. No one should get involved in the private lives and keep their own oppinion to themselves! This is a horrible situation for us all so please stay out of it. David is a great guy and we are very dissapointed in him at this moment but we still love him, same as debbie she is a great mother and was a perfect wife.

Being a huge fan of David Seaman I felt disappointed that his marriage had ended and am sure he would not have wanted it to end up this way. He would have been aware of the comments he would get for leaving, But we do not know what it was like for him behind closed doors! We know he left his first wife for Debbie but that doesnt mean he should stay with her forever if he is unhappy. I hope you find peace David and always make a special effort with your children. (If wife number 3 is not in the wings contact me!)

and everyone called lorna peddles the worst kind of stereotypical discrimination - it's a cheap (yet inaccurate) shot with most footballers decent guys . like in any walk of life you will have bad apples but it would be a foolish and naive person who makes sweeping generalisations based on little knowledge of reality. what a numpty!!

All footballers are vain and self centred morons.
They are only in love with themselves.
Once a cheat always a cheat.
He says no one else is involved, yeah right he's probably got the next wife already lined up.
I can't wait to see the Beckam saga unfold.
After all there were rumours a few years back that he was playing away from home wasn't there.

taste of your own medicine it seems Debbie but yeah we go again thats SOCCER LEGENDS for ya, they seem to be only legends on the pitch and completely opposite off it, perhaps faux pas legends off the pitch is a good term to use

David is a great fella, I have met him and it is a disgrace to call him a 'rat'. He has been wed twice is that so bad!? It is better to move on and change things if you are not happy, life is short enough and it's often best for all in the long term.

i don't feel sorry for the second wife, she must have known it was only a matter of time she would be next, what goes around comes around, and she must have been aware she would be next , she is 47 now, not a great looker anyway, he's got lots of money, younger and better looking girls will be after him, even at his age with his ugly mug, GIRLS LOOKING AT MARRIED , MEN BE AWARE THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU

She wont have the csa robbing her blind, its not like she wont ever see her kids again, she will keep the house, and wont have to go out to work for a few years, and people are complaining.

terribly sad for the second wife, but now she knows exactly how his first wife felt. WHAT GOES ROUND COMES ROUND. Given time, hopefully the rat himself will come unstuck good and proper.

There are thousands of couples who live together because they dont have the balls or the money to separate, Seaman does. You only live once, spend it happily. Why judge seaman, he has all the wealth and she shared in that for 15 years.

If he can cheat WITH you, he can cheat ON you! Once women start understanding this, maybe this kind of stuff wont happen as often as it does!

By Cherry Brandy.. Posted March 15 2009 at 12:12 PM.

Good grief, these things just happen, even to former England stars. It's life and it's natural that your feelings will change over a long period of time. If you had lobster and champagne every day of your life for years on end you'd eventually want egg and chips, or the like, just for a change. Get over it world and stop moralising!

By richard.. Posted March 15 2009 at 12:10 PM.

If he was Joe blogs it wouldn't be written about. it takes two in a marriage....it only takes one to spoil it. As long as they remain friends for the sake of the children that is all that matters. Hopefully they can manage this. There are so many children from broken relationships/marriages. Unfortunately its nothing new.

By anna.. Posted March 15 2009 at 1:09 PM.

lots of things slip from this mans hands, like women, footballs, he is known for being the black sheep of england football, if you want a goal keeper that can do his job, dont get seman.

By sarpal.. Posted March 15 2009 at 1:21 PM.

It just goes to show, you can't be too careful.

By Jenny Jones.. Posted March 15 2009 at 11:38 AM.

Hmm! i thought there was a few dodgy comments from a few different women here, maybe one of you ladies is david´s new fancy bit!haha! Though i agree with the old saying in what goes around! serves debbie right and now she knows how hurt and destroyed his first wife was!

By annabella11.. Posted March 15 2009 at 11:31 AM.

What is the problem here? So his marriage breaks down, most peoples do. Would you rather he stayed there miserable and argueing in front of the children because that wouldn't be a very nice upbringing !!! As somebody else mentioned 2 marriages in 25 years is hardly making him a love rat.

By Lisa.. Posted March 15 2009 at 10:18 AM.

What do you expect. He's a Yorkshireman..................????? See all, hear all, say now't.........Eat all, sup all, pay now't. What goes around, comes around.

By Geoff Stringer.. Posted March 15 2009 at 10:37 AM.

remember reading a story about him not being in touch with his 1st sons and their devastation in him snubbing them Thought he was a wolf in sheeps clothing then.
Debbie gets what she deserves. But i hope he doesn't devastate the children from this marriage.
It should always be about the children first...

By kedge75.. Posted March 15 2009 at 10:34 AM.

Wonder if his no 2 wife who also his agent will let emotions come in to their professional relationship ?

If yes then Seaman could have a dodgy few months a head as you mix business with pleasure.

He walks out on 2 lovely wifes, most men would be over the moon to be in his shoes with one of them where things lasted for a very long time.

Oh well there's bound to a bimbo out their who will do a kiss and tell on him.

By scrumbow.. Posted March 15 2009 at 10:08 AM.

My children were at the same school as his until a couple of months ago, and believe me its not poor Debbie...apart from the fact that she looks like a old bag, she was one. She has been an absolute cow to him and he is the nicest, friendliest guy Ive ever come across. She's now using the press to discredit him, but anyone who knows him will know the truth.

By dawn.. Posted March 15 2009 at 10:06 AM.

Hope he's cut off that revolting ponytail. As for going to the wedding of Purdew -he's the biggest plonker on the planet.Ask anyone in Henlow.

By mrs_spratt.. Posted March 15 2009 at 9:07 AM.

Cannot blame Seaman.

He could pull loads of bimbos, have your way then put them back in the gutter

By steve.. Posted March 15 2009 at 7:49 AM.

Total Karma.
I remember her smug face 15 years ago and how devastated his little boy was.
What goes around ... comes around.

By Ali.. Posted March 15 2009 at 7:55 AM.

No sympathy at all for Debbie (who BTW, has really lost her looks!) but I would say that Dave 'Unsafe Hands' Seaman is a prize plank -marriage break-up or no marriage up!

By Cam.. Posted March 15 2009 at 8:06 AM.

Wifey number 1 to wifey number 2 "what comes around goes around" - no sympathy, she`s hardly likely to end up in a council flat on benifits is she !

By fedupwithbeingtakenforaride.. Posted March 15 2009 at 7:32 AM.

Serves her right. Pity she didn't take the same moral high ground when stealing him away from his first wife ad kids.

By twitchy.. Posted March 15 2009 at 7:39 AM.

I think "dave" has done the right thing , when he met her 15 year ago she probably looked ok , but my guess is now she looks like a right old trout. dave should get himself down to stringfellows at the earliest opportunity and nail some young stunner.

By pedro sanchez.. Posted March 15 2009 at 6:07 AM.

Two wives in 25 years is hardly casanova!

By Molly.. Posted March 15 2009 at 5:29 AM.

so we all take the moral high ground?who really cares about the kids?he got bored...GAME OVER...MOVE ON...DEAL WITH IT:)

By who really cares?.. Posted March 15 2009 at 3:13 AM.

Why are people being nasty to her? Yes she was the one who had an affair that ended his first marriage but ultimatly he was the married one he knew what he was doing so why dont you put more of the blame on him rather than her

By ann.. Posted March 15 2009 at 2:44 AM.

Lets see what happens to wife number three who is probably in waiting - watch out !!!

By maria.. Posted March 15 2009 at 2:15 AM.

15 years is a long time

By my name is.. Posted March 15 2009 at 12:33 AM.

What goes around comes around.I have no sympathy for Debbie she is now enduring the emotional pain that she had deliberately inflicted on David's initial wife of ten years when she wrecked and destroyed their marriage, now another woman have taken David away from her.

By Anonymous.. Posted March 15 2009 at 12:29 AM.

what comes around goes around, it serves her right, it's just a shame that more children are left behind, the man is a complete loser

By Carol.. Posted March 15 2009 at 12:02 AM.

No doubt some young glamorous wannabee will be on his arm soon enough, using the deluded former idol as a stepping stone to greater things!

By Jo.. Posted March 14 2009 at 11:12 PM.

what starts out bad..will end bad..and taking another womans husband is an awful way to start!

By joselyn.. Posted March 14 2009 at 11:10 PM.

What woman in her right mind would fall for a man who is capable of walking out on his wife? Does she not realise that if he can do it once, then he can do it again to her? What woman can build her happiness on another's heartbreak? You can fall for a man, but surely that love would die if he behaved like that? Now we have innocent children suffering, and a man who is free to create havoc in somebody else's life.
