But there is no fear of him now having to fly by the seat of his pants-because Army Air Corps chiefs are giving him EXTRA lessons to ensure he passes a retake.

The 24-year-old Royal, who we recently exposed for calling a fellow soldier a "Paki" during a training exercise, flunked the theory-based test at an RAF base in Lincolnshire.
Last night a Royal source told News of the World: "Harry didn't reach the grade but he will have plenty of other opportunities to pass it.
"He will now be given extra tuition. It wasn't a case of Harry failing and being booted off the course. It's part of an on-going assessment."
The prince, who struggled at Eton before getting two A-levels in Geography and Art, is splitting his time between RAF Cranwell and RAF Barkston Heath, both Lincs.
His dream is to fly an Apache attack helicopter on the front line.
But if he passes his pilot's course he may get a reconnaissance Lynx or Gazelle chopper instead, depending on his flying skills.
The Prince remains in the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals) but on attachment to the Army Air Corps.
Harry's first weeks have been spent learning the basics of flying, on a Firefly fixed-wing aircraft.
His exam failure is yet another setback for him this year.
We exclusively told last month that he had split from long-term girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 23.
Last week Army chiefs ordered him to go on a diversity training course after we also revealed his "Paki" jibe.
And on Tuesday black stand-up comic Stephen K Amos told how Harry said to him in November: "You don't sound like a black chap."

Come on you lot, give the lad credit...He truly is one big HERO. Fail or pass he is serving our country and being called a fool? He is a well educated lad with plenty of respect for all of us and he will pass,so be considerate and show the young lad some respect back ay!

I doubt the majority of "the sun" readers could even get onto a RAF piloting course, let alone, pass the first examination. Give the kid a break, he's trying to make a career out of the most extreme circumstances. Last time I checked he hadn't joined the majority scum his age.

Good lord! Are all of you criticizers so perfect?
imagine having each one of your failures broadcasted throughout the world!
At least he's out doing something and has goals.
Leave him be. I'm not a fan of the British monarchy, and I've got to say that I wouldn't want to be in Harry's shoes for all the money in the world.
It's nice to be able to live a private life.

The RAF policy is to allow people to try again after extra tuition, so far I see no favoritism. If he were unsafe to fly, he'd be washed out, it really is that simple.
Anway, the video I watched showed him to have a sense of humor, but yes, he's a lad. If you don't like that, then fair enough. I like it, but then again, I play rugby too.

Pot kettle black, anyone?
At least he's trying to carve out a career. Teenagers getting pregnant, happy slapping, underage drinking and knife crime. Is this indicative of Britain today? Shouldn't national service be brought back to enforce morals and values to youth in our society?

There must be something Harry is better at than his half-brother? Height: no, Looks: no, Intelligence: no. I give up. Darwin, you were wrong on this occasion.

Every penny spent on this gung ho fool is a waste.
He comes across, to me, as a spoilt, demanding object.

Why dont people get off his case?
Harry is a decent young man, who never asked to be a 'royal' but is a 'royal' and has to forever have to be in the watchful eyes of the public.
As well as a 'royal' he is a human being who is prone to being non perfect. ALL human beings are not perfect!! All human being fail and make mistakes and have second and third chances and take different directions in life.
Harry is a young, sociable and friendly chap who does his best to reach out to varying persons and situations in varying ways.
He means no malice in any of his actions or choices. Other people need to address thier own issues with sensitivities and their ability to quickly judge and condem too quickly and easily.

He is learning to fly so that he can SERVE HIS COUNTRY. And how many commenters here have never made a non-pc remark?

A waste of taxpayers money ! or perhaps he should fly for Westlands ............ another waste of space.
Anyway, he would be better following his mother because he seems to have that in him rather than killing people

... you'll be ok - formation flying is where most cadets wash out - it's really tough - hang in there ...

He may be a person who gets more chances because of his privileged position in life and he may not be the brightest spark, but, you cant fault him for wanting to serve his country, and at least when this lad puts on a uniform and medals he will of earned them un-like other royals, (not Andrew).
Its a great responsibility to serve your country as I and countless others have, if more people did the same we wouldnt have the knife and gun crime rates we do now so unless you actually know the bloke or have served and achieved the things he has shut up....

The man is a hero, if you want to criticise him sign up for 22 years in the army and serve our country.
