This is the gl-Eeyore-ious festive tail of Holly the house-trained donkey, who likes to don a Santa hat for Xmas while scoffing sprouts and guzzling mule-d wine.
Every year, Holly swaps the stable for the dining table as she enjoys Christmas Day with her owners, the Ferrier family. Their home in Bude, Cornwall, has been foal of the Christmas spirit since 2006.
Dad Tim, 49, said: "She's adorable. She didn't work out as a breeding mare for her last owners, so we took her in."
Now, seven-year-old Holly is part of the family and joins Tim, wife Jackie, 42, and the kids, James, 12, and nine- year-old Lucy, in the house for Xmas.
Jackie, who runs a boarding kennel, said: "We're a funny bunch - us, 20 dogs and a donkey. You should see the looks we get on our Christmas stroll!"
This year, 40st Holly - who has an 18-month-old colt, Charlie - got French toast and digestive bickies from Santa.
Next year, Holly wants CDs - she's really into clip-clop and hoove-y metal.
