More and more of us are going for location, location, location when it comes to short breaks with a difference in Britain.
And that means soaking up the atmosphere in the streets and buildings where some of our most popular TV series were filmed.
Now a new book, the British Television Location Guide, tells telly lovers where top dramas and comedies were filmed. And today we're looking at some of the best TV places to visit.

Take the latest BBC blockbuster LITTLE DORRIT for instance-a star-studded version of the Charles Dickens novel. Already fans are flocking to the Buckinghamshire countryside where the series was filmed.
The highlight is 15th Century Chenies Manor (pictured above), near Amersham, used as the home of the Meagles family. Daughter Pet Meagles and cad Henry Gowan tie the knot in the pretty church at the manor gates and you can follow their lead by hiring the house and garden for weddings and christenings.

The house is open to the public from April but winter visitors can visitthe church and lunch at the superb Red Lion village pub. You can stay nearby at the Bedford Arms hotel in Chenies which costs from £95 for a double room B&B. See www. bedfordarms.co.uk or call 01923 283301.
