And before they even move to the brand-new green studios which is being kept under wraps, they are set to showcase their new planet-saving credentials in an energy-efficiency advert.
Aardman Animations have created a green advert jam-packed with energy-saving advice - all made within an eco-friendly environment.
Lights are used only when necessary at the studios in Bristol, with moulding of the world-famous duo Wallace and Gromit done in near pitch black.
Plasticine is also re-used for the models so that there is no wastage.
There is computer-generated water used in Gromit's shower instead of filming real water, making sure that every detail in the filming at the studios is environmentally-friendly.
Real coal used in Wallace's furnace is crushed to the correct scale instead of making miniature coal from raw materials like resin, keeping carbon emissions low.
And animator Merlin Crossingham even cycles to work every day, making sure that every detail at the studio respects Aardman's green campaign.
As Wallace and Gromit animator Merlin revealed: "We all like to do our bit.
"It is fantastic that Wallace and Gromit can help spread the word about energy efficiency."
The advert-filmed in conjunction with leading energy provider npower-is set to be broadcast on March 28, the same day the News of the World is urging readers to turn off their lights for 60 minutes.
Our campaign is part of a bid to get more than a billion people to join in and part of our effort to help save the planet.
Head of communications at npower Joan Coe said: "We're thrilled to have Wallace and Gromit as our new energy efficiency ambassadors.
"We all know we need to save energy and money and hope that Wallace and Gromit's infectious warmth and enthusiasm will encourage people to take positive action."
