HERE'S your chance to swap those old mobile phones lying around the house for INSTANT CASH-and do your bit to save the planet at the same time.

As part of our Go Green & Save campaign, we are launching a major handset recycling scheme that could put £££s in your pocket.

Experts reckon UK families have around 80 MILLION old mobiles stuffed in cupboards and drawers.

Each could be worth anything from a few quid up to £206 depending on make, model and condition.

There's no fuss, no snags and no waste. All you need do is go to our special website notwbuyback.co.uk and follow the simple instructions.

And as a special reward for going green, when you send us your phone we will enter you in a free draw to win £500-WORTH of Argos vouchers!

Paula Owen, Energy Doctor from the Energy Saving Trust, said: "By recycling your mobile phone you will be helping to protect the environment by minimising your waste-it's quick and you can earn some money too. Everyone's a winner."

The Government estimates that the average household can drastically reduce its carbon footprint through greater use of recycling schemes, helping to combat climate change.

Your phone will be sent to an Authorised and Approved Treatment Facility, where it will be recycled under Department for the Environment rules.

Most phones will be re-conditioned or broken down for components. Recycling helps the planet by cutting down on greenhouse gases from landfill and the manufacture of new phones.

Around 80 per cent of a mobile phone is recylable. Handsets can be re-conditioned for use in the developing world or broken down into recoverable materials.

They contain valuable plastics and metals - including traces of gold and silver - which can be extracted and re-used. Britons discard about 15 million handsets a year, wasting about 300kg of gold worth more than £6.25 million and a similar quantity of silver.
