Midge Lerne: The Ditzy One

She's not blonde but she should be, and how she got a job as a PA is anyone's guess. The simplest tasks baffle her, she can't work a computer to save herself, apart from updating her Facebook status, and she spends the day reading glossy magazines and dreaming of becoming a celebrity. But Midge's huge heart and sweet nature melt her boss's heart every time and like everyone else, he's absolutely charmed by her.

Although she's a bit of a space cadet and the worst PA in the world, Midge is the friend everyone wants to have. Open and honest, the other girls seek her out to talk about their problems, drawn to her kindness and optimistic nature.

Lucy Baxter: The Brainy One

Lucy is the brains of the bunch and could run the company she works for. Ignore the WAG hair, nails and the Essex accent, Lucy's no bimbo and has a head for figures that's frightening. The only problem is her crippling lack of self-belief when it comes to her work. Unlike those around her, Lucy doesn't appreciate just what a smart cookie she is.

Deep down Lucy's very ambitious and would love to be more in life than a PA, but she's torn between her glamorous life in the City with the girls, and her ordinary life at home in Essex with her hubbie Bob The Builder (yes, really!)

Nicole Palmerston-Amory: The Posh One

The posh one of the gang, Nicole's a full on Chelsea girl, with a plummy accent to match her expensive, designer wardrobe.

She comes from a very wealthy family who were left penniless when her dad walked out when Nicole was just 13. As a result, she's driven by her desire for money and a fear of being poor again. She works hard but it's not enough to give her the luxury lifestyle she craves, so she uses and manipulates men to get what she wants.

She's an ice-maiden, never getting emotionally involved, using rich men for their money and poor men for her sexual thrills. The office provides Nicole with the perfect hunting ground for her next conquest, and she's the undisputed man-eater of the group.

Doris 'Sid' Siddiqi: The Weird One

Freaky goth girl Sid is the odd one out in the office. University educated she thinks being a PA is beneath her and doesn't try to hide her disdain for her job. She thinks she's way too intelligent to be sending faxes and answering phones, and only took the job to pay the bills.

Sid's a loner and feels like an outsider in life. She finds it impossible to connect with people, and is rubbish at girly chats. She puts up a wall to keep people out but deep inside she's darkly funny, sexy and desperate to connect. Keep watching to discover why Sid's so scared of letting her guard down.

Grace Darling: The Prim and Proper One

If Carlsberg did PAs... they wouldn't be half as good as Grace. Like Mary Poppins, she's practically perfect in every way and totally devoted to her job and her boss, Rock Van Gelder. She sees herself as his 'work-wife' and knows what he wants before he does.

She's the prim and proper one of the girls - you definitely won't catch her getting up to no good with the boss in the stationery cupboard on her lunch break!

While all the other girls are slightly discontented with office life, Grace is totally content and thinks her life is fabulous until the impossible happens and she mysteriously disappears.

PAs starts on Tuesday 16th June at 9pm on BBC3.
