'So, would you dump me now?'

Ditched by their men, these women didn't get mad, they got an extreme breakover

'I HATED MY LOOKS - SO I PUSHED HIM AWAY'

Jayne Morgan, 50, is a travel agent. She lives in Southend, Essex, with her partner Andy Green, 44.

"I've felt ugly my whole life. I hated looking in the mirror and despised my chipped, stained teeth.

In 2002, I moved to Spain and set up a B&B and horse riding business. Life was good but I still lacked confidence. Then, on a visit back to the UK in December 2004, I met and fell for Andy. He told me I was beautiful and, even though I didn't believe him, I was so happy. He soon moved to Spain to be with me, but in April 2007, we decided to return to England to be near his kids by a previous relationship.

Back in the UK, I felt very low at leaving my idyllic Spanish life behind. I blamed Andy, even though it had been a joint decision to move. I made it impossible for us to be together and, as a result, he dumped me that October.

After that, any self-belief I'd had was gone. So when I heard about a TV show that transforms people before they confront their exes, I applied. I was thrilled to be accepted.

I had veneers fitted, collagen in my top lip, Botox in my forehead and fillers around my mouth. Wearing a designer dress, with a new hairstyle and a fresh face, I finally liked how I looked.

When Andy saw me, he was speechless. He said he'd be a fool to lose me. We talked things over for hours and decided to give our relationship another go. We haven't looked back since.

I'm so happy now - I finally have the self-belief I've always craved, and I've got Andy back."

Breakover cost: £3,500.

Andy says: "When I saw Jayne, I was knocked off my feet. I'd always thought she was beautiful, but after all her treatments, she was radiant. Since the show, she's brimming with confidence and now she believes me when I tell her she's gorgeous."

'HE CHEATED WHEN I NEEDED HIM THE MOST'

Erika Brodnock, 28, is an admin manager. She lives in Wallington, Surrey, with her five children - Sancha, 11, Marcus, nine, twins Lexis and Carrera, six, and Zion, 22 months.

"I was devastated when I discovered my partner of five years, Vena, had been cheating on me. Our daughter Zion was just seven months old and I was suffering from post-natal depression. It was a huge blow, and I decided to leave him.

After five children, my body looked like it belonged to a granny - not someone in their 20s. I had stretch marks, saggy bits, and longed for the size-10 figure I used to have.

I hated my teeth. My gums were uneven and I had two badly fitted crowns at the front. And my poor eyesight meant I had to wear unflattering glasses as I was too squeamish for contacts.

Like most mums, I got very little 'me time' - looking after my appearance was always way down the list of things to do. The show helped me prioritise myself for once.

To improve my smile, I had gum contouring and veneers fitted, while laser eye surgery gave me perfect vision.

Hyper-pigmentation, where my body had produced too much melanin, had left dark circles under my eyes, which I hid under layers of concealer. So to rectify them I had a chemical peel.

During my treatments I started dieting. I've lost 2st and am now a size 10-12.

Once my transformation was complete, I confronted Vena. I'd moved on and had a new partner, who I met while I was having my treatments, but I wanted him to see how much I'd changed. He was happy for me.

My breakover gave me the confidence to believe I'm an attractive, sexy woman and to not be afraid of falling in love again."

Breakover cost: £16,600

Vena says: "Erika didn't need a makeover - she's always been beautiful. I wish her all the best."

'MY OUTRAGEOUS IMAGE WAS A FRONT'

Ex Paul didn't recognise Heather

Heather College, 37, who's unemployed, is single and lives in the Midlands.

"I used to be a petite blonde with bags of confidence. Then I met Paul. During our five-year relationship he constantly criticised how I looked. He told me I was fat and ugly, and shattered my self-esteem.

I comfort ate and drank heavily to forget about his cruel comments. I went from a size 8 to an 18, and as I got bigger, my confidence all but disappeared.

Paul, who's now 40, paid me little attention, except to tell me how fat I was. But despite this, I loved him. I began dying my hair crazy colours, and wearing heavy make-up and PVC clothes to get him to notice me. I created an outrageous image, but underneath I had low self-esteem and was deeply unhappy.

In 2007, I left Paul after discovering he was having an affair with a neighbour.

I applied to the show because I felt a new image would give me the confidence to put my broken relationship behind me.

I was given Botox injections in my forehead and around my eyes to smooth out wrinkles. I also had fillers injected into my cheeks to get rid of my jowls.

Celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward was appalled at my hair! I'd been dying and cutting it myself and it was dry and brittle. He coloured it, cut off 3in and put in soft curls.

I also had my teeth professionally whitened, and picked up tips from the show's make-up artists and stylists.

To help kick-start my weight loss, I had a procedure called ProSliMelt on my stomach, where a machine releases ultrasonic waves to break down fat cells. For the last three months I've been working out with a personal trainer three times a week and I now eat healthily. I've already dropped a dress size and am hoping to get down to a size 12.

When I saw Paul, he didn't recognise me. He played it cool. I like to think he was kicking himself for letting me go.

Since my breakover, I'm a different person. I'm living life again after hiding away for years. I wasted five years with my ex, but I've come out the other side looking - and feeling - fabulous."

Breakover cost: £1,900

Paul says: "I apologise for being unfaithful."

'HEROIN WRECKED MY LOOKS'

Mel Bartropp, 28, who's unemployed, is single and lives in Sevenoaks, Kent.

"I'd always dreamed of becoming a model, but all my hopes were destroyed when I became a drug addict at 16.

My boyfriend, Stuart*, now 33, introduced me to cannabis, then he gave me heroin and I was soon hooked. Stuart was violent and constantly told me how disgusting I looked. He chipped away at my confidence, so I lost myself in drugs.

Heroin wreaked havoc on my appearance. My skin was scabby and covered in acne, my teeth turned yellow and my weight plunged to 7st. When I looked in the mirror, I felt suicidal. I didn't think there was any way to get my life or looks back.

But in 2007, I decided I wanted things to change. I'd hit rock bottom and realised I would die if I didn't kick drugs. I had anti-addiction implants inserted under my skin, which meant I felt no high from drug taking. They gradually helped me get clean and I started to try to rebuild my life.

However, Stuart was still an addict. He couldn't cope with losing his control over me, and he dumped me last year. He was later jailed for theft.

I applied for the show because I wanted to be happy when I looked in the mirror.

I had laser resurfacing to get rid of the scabs and scars. I had Botox in my forehead and fillers in my cheeks. My teeth were whitened and Trevor Sorbie styled my hair.

One night the TV show arranged for me to go to a showbiz party - walking down the red carpet was a massive confidence boost.

Because Stuart's in prison, I couldn't confront him, but I hope he watches the show and sees how far I've come.

For the first time in years I'm proud of how I look. Now my self-esteem is sky high."

Breakover cost: £3,000.

heather college HANDS DOWN is the most gorgeous girl on this page. she looks stunning postmakeover and would put any slimmer girl to shame.
i'm usually horrified of how the overweight carry themselves as it's usually unfashionable, sloppy and lazy looking, but this girl looks like a voluptous stunner.
good on her!
