Use a few metres of floral fabric to re-cover chairs, hide a tatty table or
make a simple window panel.
Choose solid, simple furniture and keep your clutter to a minimum so the
blooms take centre stage.
By sticking to no more than three colours - for example: pink, green and
cream, or lilac, blue and white - your scheme will look fresh and
interesting.
Break up strong patterns with plain accessories - for example, a block-colour
cushion on a floral sofa.
Candles scented with floral jasmine and rose will make a room smell as good
as it looks.
Add colour and texture with a simple arrangement of fresh or fabric blooms.
Natural materials such as linen, muslin and calico, in classic stripes or
gingham designs, sit well with florals.
HOT TIP: Contrast bold floral prints with one-colour paintwork.
