Amanda thows a celeb dinner party and gets the gossip from Demi and Ashton's boudoir

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13

I throw a dinner party for friends including Christine Bleakley (Fabulous' cover star this week!), Strictly's Bruno Tonioli, Fame Academy's Richard Park and his wife Anna, a fashion guru who was on WAGs Boutique.

Tonight's meal has an Italian theme but it's more domestic mess than domestic goddess. My pesto chicken is dry (so my guests tell me - I'm a veggie) and the tiramisu looks like runny caffè latte. Not good when one of my guests is cake-maker-to-the-stars Eric Lanlard (Madge and the Beckhams are fans). I met Eric on Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island three years ago. I was pregnant with Lexi and beat Richard at a game of poker. Goodness knows how I fooled Branson¿ I go red even when I'm not lying.

Food aside, the night's a total success.

We chat about Duncan James from Blue, who recently announced he's bisexual. Bruno says: "Darling, he has one foot still in the closet, he should just come out and fly!"

I worked with Duncan on the pilot of a show called The Wish List. One afternoon I was getting my make-up done in my dressing room and Duncan was all over my beauty products! I think he's fab and wish him luck in love, whoever he chooses.

Talking of which, Christine's back on the dating scene. She really fancies racing driver Jenson Button - it's a shame she didn't know me a few months ago when he was single and a guest at my wedding. Now he's all loved-up with model Jessica Michibata.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14

I receive an urgent call from Simon Cowell's PA, who needs a list of the questions I'm planning to ask Simon during my interview with him for The Early Show, which airs on CBS in America. The truth is, I have absolutely no idea! I was planning to do it all off the cuff but now I've got to get my homework done.

Piers got his kit off for Burger King - but had a chest double!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 16

Get a text from Piers. It reads: "Had a Corona with Demi and Ashton in their Vegas hotel suite and we were talking about your Twitter obsession." When I ask what Demi looks like close up, he replies: "Amazing - and Ashton looks about 10."

I can't stop thinking about them all lying on a big bed together with Piers doing his Burger King advert pose. Speaking of which, I can reveal Piers did get a chest double for that shoot - my friend Tasha's hubbie, Grant, was the model! And Piers said he'd been working out in the gym - shame on him!

MONDAY, AUGUST 17

I'm a guest at an event in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust in Hunstanton, Norfolk. I was invited by the charity's honorary president, Emilie van Cutsem - who was a mother figure to Princes William and Harry after Princess Diana died.

I spend an hour signing T-shirts, some of which people are wearing. T-shirt clad Emilie asks me to sign hers, then bends over. I proceed to sign her back with my marker pen - then realise she's just picking up her handbag! Oops!

Amanda, I'm a fan of yours and love your column. But, why don't you just hint of where to get some of the faboulous outfits you're wearing. By the way, I've seen pictures of you with a gorgeous red Mulberry Bayswater and I got one myself and I just looovvvve it. Thanks Amanda!
