I'd be happier if... I was on holiday with my family. My ideal break combines relaxation and adventure, and top of my wish list is the Galapagos Islands.

I'm at my best when... I'm spending time with my family. I love running a bubble bath at the weekend and getting in with my two children, Sam, 11, and Mia, seven.

Those closest to me would describe me as... very loyal, affectionate, impatient, slightly intolerant and, I hope, kind!

One thing about my past I don't admit easily is... around 10 years ago I was caught on camera brushing my hair when I was meant to be reading the headlines. Fortunately, it was the weekend and none of my bosses were in, so I didn't get into trouble.

Apart from my family, three things I'd want on a desert island are... high-factor suncream to protect my skin, a mobile phone to call for help and a private jet to fly home on.

One thing I'd like to do before I die is... ride on horseback across an African desert like the Sahara.

If I advertised myself on a dating site, it would read... "Brunette mum of two, quite skinny, but loves her food - and you better had too!"

The thing I like least about myself is... my bum. I'd love it to be smaller.

My fantasy dinner date is... George Clooney. He's unbelievably handsome and also seems like a laugh. I could stare at him all night. He'd be the one man who could distract me from my food.

The thing I value the most is... my family. I had two difficult pregnancies, which was why I got involved with Wellbeing of Women. When I look at my children, they're all the more precious to me because I know what a struggle it was to have them.

My biggest regret is... not having kept up the many things I did when I was younger, like learning French and playing the piano. I'm very rusty at French now, and absolutely rubbish on the piano. I used to be quite good at both.

If I wasn't a newsreader I'd be... a rock star. I sang in a couple of bands when I was a student. Who wouldn't want to be a rock star? It looks like amazing fun!

FIONA SAYS: "I think about several things at once. I was glued to Wimbledon, even when I was meant to be getting ready to read the news that evening!"

'FIONA BATTLES TO CONTROL HER IMPULSES'

JAMES SAYS: "Fiona has strong values, which she expresses confidently. Rather than sticking to convention, she's guided by her own beliefs. This, combined with her decisiveness, means she can appear impatient with those who need time to make up their minds. However, she's caring and will help people out practically when she identifies with them.

Her difficult pregnancies were a catalyst for getting involved in charity work. Her dedication to this cause is entirely consistent with her compassionate nature.

Fiona's picture reveals her resilience and determination to overcome challenges, as well as her desire to push herself to the limit. She struggles to control strong impulses, which means she'll be distracted by pleasure seeking from time to time. However, her family ties and high personal standards will help ensure structure and self-control in her life."
