SEEN ON: Angelina Jolie, Sarah Harding and Christina Aguilera. "Keep
your lines superfine - this makes your eyes look bigger," says creative
design director for Max Factor, Pat McGrath.
STEP 1: Sweep
some loose powder, such as Lancôme Poudre Majeur Excellence in 03, £27, over
your eyelid, until the skin feels velvety to the touch. This will help
prevent smudging.
STEP 2: Start your super-sharpened liner
1cm from the inner corner of your eye and follow the natural curve of your
top eyelid. At the outer corner, instead of flicking the eyeliner up, keep
the line straight - it needs to go out as far as the end of your eyebrow.
Then line your bottom lashes, starting 1cm from the inner corner and
finishing in the outer corner.
TREND TOOL KIT: Barry M Kohl
Pencil in Black, £2.95 (see opposite). Prefer to use a liquid liner? Then
try L'Oréal Paris Superliner Carbon Gloss in Carbon Black, £8.99.

SEEN ON: Leona Lewis, Victoria Beckham and Taylor Momsen."The spring
smoky eye is all about sheer colour," says Fiona Jolly, Maybelline New
York's celebrity make-up artist. "Rather than going for a mega dark look
like the late 2009 gothic eye vibe, use a lighter grey for a subtle
statement look."
STEP 1: Apply your shade with a flat
brush, such as the Celia Birtwell Eyeshadow Brush, £5.50. Start at the inner
corner of your eye and sweep it in a half-moon shape.
STEP 2:
Using the same brush, gently dab more colour on the outer corner of your eye
in an almond shape. The colour should start at your outer eyelashes, go
towards your temple and finish just under the outer edge of your eyebrow.
The extra depth will create an instant sultry look.
TREND TOOL
KIT: Mac Eyeshadow in Scene, £11, Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Gunmetal, £12
or Barry M Eyeshadow in Gun Metal Grey (exclusive to Fabulous readers, see
opposite).

SEEN ON: Diane Kruger, Eva Longoria Parker and Jennifer Lopez. "Nude
glossy lips are going to be huge this year," says make-up artist Charlotte
Tilbury, who's worked with Scarlett Johansson.
STEP 1:
Choose the right nude - fair skin suits camel colours, medium skin suits
beige and honey hues, and dark skin suits apricot shades.
STEP
2: Use a lip brush to slather your gloss on, do a quick 'mwah' and
you're ready to gloss 'n' roll!
TREND TOOL KIT:
Fair skins try My Face Lip Pop Gloss in Glamorous, £7.99; medium skins,
Bourjois Effet 3D Les Nudes in Beige Elastic, £6.99; darker skins Barry M
Glossy Tube in Fabulously Nude (exclusive to Fabulous readers, see below).

SEEN ON: Dita Von Teese, Kirsten Dunst and Beyoncé. We declared waaay
back in December that the hot new colour for 2010 would be berry red. And we
were spot on! "Red has always been a classic colour," says Jessica Hoffman,
Sally Hansen nail expert. "But the hint of berry-ness makes it very wearable
and fresh compared to a classic red."
STEP 1: Red is
the worst culprit for staining nails, so apply a hefty coat of Jessica
Reward Basecoat, £9.95, first, to protect nails. Then apply two coats of
your berry colour.
STEP 2: Apply a topcoat of Sally Hansen
Diamond Strength Diamond Shine, £7.99, which contains natty ingredients
called polymers that make the colour sparkle like a diamond. Clever, eh?
TREND
TOOL KIT: Essie Nail Polish in Raspberry, £8.95, and Barry M Nail Paint
in Raspberry Red (exclusive to Fabulous readers, see below).
