Hippy chick Joss Stone on her shapely legs and her fear of killer heels

The hippy chick talks about her shapely legs and her fear of killer heels

"I never weigh myself"

HAIR
"My hair's naturally a sandy blonde, but I love experimenting with different colours. Two years ago I dyed it pink and purple. I'm currently creating my own range of fun hair colours called Manic Panic, which I'm hoping to release in the UK."

FACE
"I've been wearing make-up for work since I was 13, but I hate the feeling of it clogging up my skin. At home, I prefer to stay natural and every night I rub vitamin E oil into my face to keep my skin moisturised and in good condition. If I forget, it feels taut and sore."

LIPS
"I can't live without Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick SPF15, £17. It's my only make-up must-have. I buy one every time I fly to keep my lips hydrated and soft."

BODY
"I never weigh myself but I've been a size 10 for years. I look better when I'm curvier because at 5ft 9in, I'm quite tall. A couple of years ago I was very busy and lost weight. I look at pictures from that time and I don't look as good."

LEGS
"Walking my dogs, Dusty Springfield, a poodle, and Missy Elliott, a Rottweiler, keeps my legs in shape. Afterwards I like to soak in the tub with Johnson's Baby Moisturising Bath, £2.69. My mum put it in my bath when I was little - I love the smell."

FEET
"When I'm on stage I go barefoot because I'm scared I'll topple over if I wear heels. Because my feet are always on show I have regular pedicures and enjoy painting my toenails rainbow colours. One of my favourites is Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 430 Coralicious, £3.49."

  • Joss Stone's new album Colour Me Free is out now.
