WHAT IS IT? An oh-so-natural flush.
HOW TO DO IT: Use a foundation that will give your skin a dewy appearance - like Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation, £7.99. Then try a blusher that's just a few steps up from your natural flushed look. We love Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Dolly Pink, £5.99. Apply just under your cheekbone, starting at the bottom of the apple of your cheek and sweeping up to your temple.

THE NEW UP 'DO

WHAT IS IT? Messy, backcombed and big!
HOW TO DO IT: The day before, wash your hair with Herbal Essences Weightless Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, £2.29 each. Then apply Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS Volume Shot Mousse, £7.95, through the roots. Or, for a lighter option, spritz John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Blow Dry Lotion, £5.49, on towel-dried hair. Next, tip your head upside down and roughly blow-dry. The next day, when the hair's a little greasier and easier to style, take a small section, backcomb and spray with Samy Skyscraper Volumizing Hairspray, £4.99. Do this over your whole head, then scrape as much hair as possible into a ponytail, twist it into a knot and pin into place using Superdrug hair grips, £1.27 for 30.
TOP TIP: Backcomb by making two small downward pushes with a comb at the root of the hair, then one long backcomb from mid-length to the root.

THE NEW SMOKY EYES

WHAT IS IT? Smoky and ultra dark.
HOW TO DO IT: Draw a thick line of Givenchy Magic Kajal, £12.23, close to the eyelashes on your upper eyelid. Next apply Lancôme Sensational Effects Eyeshadow in Strass Black, £12.50 (right), on top, taking the colour up to your brow bone. Think black is too scary? Try a touch of purple with L'Oréal Studio Secrets Eye Intensifier Eyeshadow in 360, £5.99 (below right), or Barry M Dazzle Dust in Petrol Black, £4.50, which has a purple shimmer. Finish with No7 Extravagant Lashes Mascara, £11.50, which has a square brush for extra-long lashes.
TOP TIP: Apply Gosh Eyeliner in White, £4.89, inside the lash line of your bottom lid to stop your eyes looking sunken.

THE NEW CHERRY LIP COLOUR

HOW TO DO IT: Begin by lining your lips with a lip pencil - if blessed with bee-stung lips, simply follow your natural lipline. If your pout is lacking, take your liner 2mm above your lipline. If that sounds too tricky, you can simply pencil the liner all over your lip, creating a full, kissable shape. Lancôme Contour Pro in Rouge Tulipe, £17.50 (above), and MeMeMe Lipliner Pencil in Berry, £2.90, are both creamy pencils that can be blended all over your lips with their attached brushes. Next apply your lip colour over the top.
