BODY & SOUL

TV presenter Melanie Sykes, 38, on dodgy perms and faking it

HAIR
"I hate my poker-straight hair, I can't do anything with it. I used to get it permed when I was a teenager to give it some body, but when I started modelling, the agency told me to ditch the curls quick smart!"

EYES
"I'd never leave home without Lancôme Virtuose Mascara, £19.50. I've got short and stubby lashes, so I need all the help I can get! This does the trick."

FACE
"When I get the odd spot, I use Shu Uemura Pro Concealer, £13.70. Their products suit my skin tone. My face has lots of laughter lines and creases, but it's part of the ageing process. There'll be no Botox for me!"

ARMS
"My arms are more defined than they've ever been as I've started boxing with a trainer. I love it. It's a great way to get aggression out and you can see results really quickly."

SKIN
"Once a month I use Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque, £25.95. It pumps loads of vitamins into my skin and really makes my face glow. The difference is amazing."

THIGHS
"I don't know any woman who likes her thighs! I'm a size 10-12 and think mine are bigger than they should be. I never had to exercise in my 20s, but now I have to be an avid gym bunny."

Melanie is ambassador for Green's cake mixes (Greenscakes.co.uk) to launch Green's Tuesday - the day the nation gets baking and sharing.

I love the dermalogica power recovery mask, but i think dermalogica is great for all daily grooming products. My favourite skin care product. And as for melanies thighs...if they are too big then i dare not even look at mine!!
thanks
