A trim Lindsay Buckingham stresses their desire to simply "go out there and have fun."
And fun they have as Buckingham, every inch the muso guitar hero, hops across the stage, ripping through the bluesy Oh Well while Stevie Nicks' Sara, Rhiannon and Gypsy provide a dreamy counterpart to his alpha-male angst.
Their driving force lurks in the background. Bassist John McVie barely acknowledges the audience, yet remains a solid, tight presence as does the towering Mick Fleetwood. Pony-tailed and in a waistocat, he permanently grins behind a gleaming drum kit.
Though the layered complexity of Tusk proves an initial struggle, Chains and Go Your Own Way have the crowd on their feet. "Yesterday's gone," they sing in final song Don't Stop, but their party shows no sign of ending.
