Basement Jaxx's DJ set is heard halfway up the high street, as a menacing bouncer guards the hottest new club in town... Oxfam.

Part of a week of gigs in a London store to promote the charity, 200 clubbers get a sweat on to Jaxx. Then headliner Fatboy Slim returns for one of his first shows since coming out of rehab for alcohol addiction in the spring.

With his big grin and trademark hideous Miami shirt back, Fatboy makes the already delirious crowd go off like a frog in a blender by condensing the history of dance into an hour. James Brown, Jacko, Fatboy's own hit Rockafeller Skank, cutting-edge house, even the cheesy Eye Of The Tiger... it's such a party that the second-hand books are in danger of bouncing off the shelves.

A sober Fatboy can still leave you drunk on music.
