AFTER briefly selling out arenas thanks to ballads like Wires, Athlete ran out of steam when they repeated the formula.

But they've rallied, turning to colourful, upbeat, simple rock 'n roll like Light The Way and new single Superhuman Touch.

There's one too many glum ballads for a classic album, but these athletes can still go the distance.
