For James Cameron's Avatar: The Game, based on the blockbuster film, has taken video games to the next level.
Just like the movie, you get the chance to experience the story in 3D - and it's out of this world.
Pong, Super Mario Bros, the SNES, PlaySation 2 and Xbox 360 - all moments that took the gaming industry by storm. Now you can add 3D gaming to that list.
You are sent deep into the heart of Pandora, an alien planet that is beyond imagination. Gamers encounter Na'vi, Pandora's indigenous people and soon find out other life forms exist. Before long you're thrown into battle with the RDA Corporation who are in search of valuable resources.

While the story is engrossing, you'll be blown away by the graphics - which take on a new beauty in 3D mode. Player wise, this is a gritty little action-adventure, with a variety of weapons and some seriously cool machines and vehicles to take control of.
Avatar is amazing in stereoscopic 3D, but you'll need a 3D television and HDMI port to enjoy this experience. But Ubisoft have also developed the game in 2D on all formats, and it's just as exciting to play.
Although this will frustrate players, Avatar gives us a glimpse of what is to come over the next year.
