Review: New Super Mario Bros (Wii)

AHH, good old 1985. Living rooms were full of the sounds of Super Mario Bros. on the N.E.S.

And now those mushroom-chomping Italian plumbers are back - this time on the Wii. Nintendo have returned to an old-school style Mario Bros... with absolutely brilliant results.

But don't be fooled by the colourful levels - this side-scroller is tough, especially on your own.

Which is why Nintendo have designed it so that up to four players can take part at once.

While single player is great fun, NSMBW really kicks off when a pal or two jump in to help - which they can do at any time during the game.

At first, you'll compete with them to see who comes top at the end of every level.

But you soon realise teamwork is required to get past the bloomin' hard bits.
