Review: Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

YOU'RE either a Pro Evo fan or you support FIFA.

And after losing out last year, things looked bad for PES nuts (like me).

But fear not, 'cause the king is back - and what a im-PROEVO-ment.

Firstly, visuals are stunning - player rendering is spectacular. Pro Evo also prides itself on attention to the individual and that remains true this season. Scholes shoots with that little jump, Ronaldo rugby-punts his free-kicks and Torres finishes with aplomb, just like in real life.

True 360° control allows players to spread the ball with ease and accuracy, a new penalty system is spot on (but bloomin' hard) and online glitches are all sorted.

Commentary isn't a patch on FIFA10 but who cares when the footie is so pure?

Pro Evo's back (of the net)!

8.5/10
