But we're most definitely NOT talking Jennifer's Body.
Disappointment in this one will be cranked to near-Watchmen levels. We were promised a hip, sexy chiller from Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning writer of Juno, starring the hottest young actress on the planet and the fit one from Mamma Mia.
But what we've got is some kind of credit-crunched Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Megan Fox is "schoolgirl" Jennifer (who looks all 23 of her 18 years), Mamma Mia's Amanda Seyfried is her needy best pal . . . called Needy (cheers for the tip-off, Diablo. Why don't you just call Meg's character Busty LaJuggs while you're at it?).
They go to an indie rock gig, and Jennifer chats up the lead singer. Problem is, he's plotting to kidnap a virgin to sacrifice to Satan in exchange for chart success.
Bigger problem is, Jen ain't no virgin.
So the sacrifice goes wrong and Jen gets possessed by a demon.
Alleged vixen Megan is as bland as a water biscuit. And she has so little chemistry with Amanda that (I can't believe I'm about to write this) their girl-on-girl snog scene is pointless. In fact, despite a few good ideas and flashes of genius in the script, the whole film is a total bore.
Personally, I blame director Karyn Kusama. No good reason - I just like everyone else in it, and Karyn directed Aeon Flux, which was rubbish.
