And this bland horror-comedy would just LURRVE to be the next "hilarious cult classic!!!" and to be quoted to death by students and 25-year-old berks who "work in media".
But it's not. It's an ill-thought-out, substance-free yawn - and if it wasn't for a decent celeb cameo halfway through, there wouldn't even be a reason to flick over if it was on telly.
Jesse "Michael Cera was busy" Eisenberg and Woody "well I certainly wasn't" Harrelson star as two unlikely partners on a road trip across a zombie-infested USA. Along the way they meet personality- vacuums Abigail Breslin and Emma Stone.
Anyone who can't tell the difference between something like this and a proper cult classic, like Shaun of the Dead, needs their head examined because the resemblance is skin-deep only.
Yes, it's got zombies. Yes, it's got jokes. But it's soulless - dead behind the eyes.
And you know what that makes it? Yes. A zombie zombie movie.

You guys are morons. This movie was hilarious. Its good to see the good guys win. Anyone who says this movie is "souless" needs to get a life if they look that much into movies.

Hit the nail on the head buddy. Empty, empty pointless movie. Zombies are not even the main focus, they appear as a bit part. They appear infrequently and are predictably killed without any threat. They spit or spout blood from their mouths in the most artificial and unthreatening manner.
The dull commentary journal means so little, it is pointless. The story concentrates on the weak and meaningless relationships betweent the four boring characters. You do not care about any of them at any time. You hope they might die so that we may move on to a better movie.
