Moon 15

Rated: Out of this world *****

EVERY other review of this sci-fi thriller goes on about how the director is David Bowie's son. Big deal - I'm not even going to mention it.

Moon stars Sam Rockwell as an astronaut on a solo mission, like that song written by the director's dad David Bowie. But things take a turn for the sinister when he thinks he sees another man on the lunar surface.

What happens next is too good to give away, but it's one of the best original film ideas in ages - it'll leave your mind whirring for days.

And director Duncan Jones, née Zowie Bowie after his father David (Bowie), has opted for old-fashioned model effects, which gives the film a brilliant old-school feel.

So well done, Dunc - you've made one of the best films of the year. I'm sure your dad (David Bowie) is very proud.
