TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN (12): Haters can stick it up their jacksie - Transformers 2 is a great mix of action, dazzling effects and crude chuckles. I loved every overblown minute. Extras include making-of clips and a Blu-ray exclusive where director Michael Bay reveals his plans for Transformers 3. Tremble in fear, people. That's all I'm saying.

THE PROPOSAL (12): Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds try and fail to turn the romcom on its head with this snore-a-minute romp in which a boss proposes to her male minion to get a passport. The pair spend a weekend with Ryan's family and laughs don't ensue.

ORPHAN (15): Fair horror thriller about a spooky Russian kid placed with an American family. It is wrecked by a terrible twist ending.

G-FORCE (PG): Weak family romp about a team of Mission Impossible- style guinea pigs on a mission to stop some maniac taking over the world. A few decent action sequences but the bits in between areboring as nuts.
