DVDs of the week

LOOKING FOR ERIC (15): Great Ken Loach comedy with Eric Cantona as an imaginary friend who helps guide a postman's moral choices - a bit like Jiminy Cricket except hairier and French. Steve Evets is fantastic as the postie. Uplifting stuff, even if you can't stand Man U.

CORALINE (PG): Fab animation from Nightmare Before Christmas director Henry Selick about a young girl who discovers a secret door to another world in her family's new house. Astoundingly good-looking and spooky to boot.

SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK (15): Brain-meltingly complex drama about a theatre director (Philip Seymour Hoffman) whose new play spins out of control and consumes his life. Hugely impressive but expect a lot of weirdness.

WIN Blu-ray player with new DVD

TO mark the DVD release of Looking For Eric, I've got a Blu-ray player and copy of the film to give away, with nine DVDs for runners-up.

To be in with a chance, tell me: According to Eric Cantona, why do the seagulls follow the trawler?

a) Because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea

b) Because they like the yellow colour of the sailors' overalls.
